This song is from kesha! ^^ multiple musicals and movies did use the song yes. But it was originally written by kesha and mostly used by other performers
Because objectively speaking it's not a great movie. Having a great music track and great performances doesn't negate the fact that the script was weak.
No matter how many times i heard this song, sing along with it, i ended up crying edited:omg tq for the likes..everytime notifications hit, i will still hear this song..and end up crying..again and again
My nephew is autistic and was at first non verbal but I played this song and got him to start singing it with me, I showed his mom what that he was singing it she was so over joyed due to it being his first time speaking (singing). I will always love this song for it and getting him to start speaking.
"There's nothing I'm not worthy of." I'm 34 years old and have battled depression for the vast majority of my life. That thought never entered my head until i heard this song.
I am not a stranger to the dark Hide away, they say 'Cause we don't want your broken parts I've learned to be ashamed of all my scars Run away, they say No one'll love you as you are But I won't let them break me down to dust I know that there's a place for us For we are glorious When the sharpest words wanna cut me down I'm gonna send a flood, gonna drown 'em out I am brave, I am bruised I am who I'm meant to be, this is me Look out 'cause here I come And I'm marching on to the beat I drum I'm not scared to be seen I make no apologies, this is me Oh-oh-oh-oh Oh-oh-oh-oh Oh-oh-oh-oh Oh-oh-oh-oh Oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh, oh, oh Another round of bullets hits my skin Well, fire away 'cause today, I won't let the shame sink in We are bursting through the barricades and Reaching for the sun (we are warriors) Yeah, that's what we've become (yeah, that's what we've become) I won't let them break me down to dust I know that there's a place for us For we are glorious When the sharpest words wanna cut me down I'm gonna send a flood, gonna drown 'em out I am brave, I am bruised I am who I'm meant to be, this is me Look out 'cause here I come And I'm marching on to the beat I drum I'm not scared to be seen I make no apologies, this is me Oh-oh-oh-oh Oh-oh-oh-oh Oh-oh-oh-oh Oh-oh-oh-oh Oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh, oh, oh This is me and I know that I deserve your love (Oh-oh-oh-oh) there's nothing I'm not worthy of (Oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh, oh, oh) When the sharpest words wanna cut me down I'm gonna send a flood, gonna drown 'em out This is brave, this is bruised This is who I'm meant to be, this is me Look out 'cause here I come (look out 'cause here I come) And I'm marching on to the beat I drum (marching on, marching, marching on) I'm not scared to be seen I make no apologies, this is me When the sharpest words wanna cut me down I'm gonna send a flood, gonna drown 'em out I'm gonna send a flood Gonna drown 'em out Oh
@@edgarallenhoe9798 yeah you're right this is lyrics video not karaoke video where you can see the lyrucs ahead of the time where they are sung. So it's easier to sing along with this comment rather than video itself. Looks like 127 people agree with me
No it's more than that. If you study the dancing in the scene carefully, it's a haka for people who are different physically, mentally, or psychologically.
I don't know how many times I've watched this or heard this song but I always end up in tears. Everything written is about me & this describes me & my life completely
For as long as back as I can remember to childhood I was bullied constantly into High School. They couldn't have destroyed my life any more completely as I ended up doing drugs being homeless and ending up in a shelter. It got bad enough for me to want to change as I've been in Chelsea Manhattan resident since 2004. But I came to the realization that anyone who had a problem with me then who has a problem with me now has the problem as I realize that the children that we once were we're no longer as we have become adults and I forgave them as I attended my high school reunion and was told that I was the most gracious person there and that being an outcast wasn't by choice.
Who cares about how anyone looks? This song may make people more comfortable about their appearances, and just remember everyone is beautiful in their own way
@@Bangch4nslaptop Yup! His parents are racist and he was embarrassed to be with her so she left. She had every right to be angry at him, he did an ignorant thing. When I first watched this movie, I didn't catch on that Anne (Zendaya) was in the group because she was black, and people would/did judge her based on the color of her skin. I now understand how much racism there was back then.
Yeah but don't forget he comes good in the end even to the point of Leaving his Parents Behind for her when he Finally realises all that Crap doesn't t matter
This is a beautiful masterpiece. To Biological, Dwarfism, to Albinism. This music video tells us that everyone is still beautiful in the way that God created us. And I accept everyone as THEM!!❤
“ This is brave, This is bruised, This is who I meant to be, This is me” Those words give me chills and are such great words that help me get over things :)
Artiest Carlijn sane and many ways than any can even imagine it helped me , this song is why I still have more confidence and love in myself . This got me through the the times when I was bullied so bad I didn’t want to go to school and I would cry in the girl stalls , when my family said bad stuff about me and make me cry , and when my dad was in the hospital caused he tried to kill himself
i go to a Catholic school and there’s a Church right next to my school there are lot’s of god bible’s lot’s of thing’s my mom wanted me to have the best Education so that’s my i go to a Catholic school
Whenever I listen to this song, it always reminds me of the group of people I volunteer with who have special needs who need support from the people that they work with and how much the help they get impacts them throughout their lives ❤
You should always be yourself…always ❤…I have a 17yr old son, that doesn’t feel supported from his friends for the same reason….we will always love him and your family should as well…if not, flick me a message x…but flick me a meassage anyways xx
I know this may sound weird, but this song helped me get through tough times. Feeling alone is not a good feeling. I’m no longer a “stranger to the dark” ! We are stronger together.
They should make this the anthem of every school ❤ so no one ever feels bad for being themselves from any bullying and gives them courage to reach for the stars and follow their dreams
*Your Arm Isn’t Paper, Don’t Cut It.* *Your Neck Isn’t A Coat, Don’t Hang It.* *Your Body Isn’t A Book, Don’t Judge It.* *Your Life Isn’t A Film, Don’t End It.* “Even If The Sharpest Words Want To Cut You Down, Send A Flood (Ignore It) Towards The Área, Don’t Be Afraid To Be Seen.” *”Even If These Aren’t My Words, Spread It.”*
His is literally a movie about slavery and exploitation made to look brighter. They could’ve done an inspiring story that wasn’t about, a bad story. You feel me?
This song just gave me so much energy today. My entire life, I felt like I didn’t belong because of what I look like and who I am. Every job I had, I excelled but never had many friends and was referred to as weird. Continue to create content like this. It energizes people like me. Thank you for reminding me i’m not alone ☺️.
This song make me feel Strong❤️. Don't Bully, it's Hurts🥲.
Same here. I am going to but they lyrics down in my journal. Such powerful words. When you see this part of the movie You become more alive. It is not the same when someone just sings the song. Loved this movie ( but I love musicals)
When Zendaya's character is giving Zac's the stink face during "I'm not scared to be seen, I make no apologies, this is me" girl I felt that from here!!!! 👏👏👏👏
No but honestly this song is why I finally came out to my dad after seeing the movie in theaters. Good luck my fellow alphabet mafia comrade 💗 much love
They’re only freaks *_because_* that’s what people choose to call them. But I’m happy that in this song, they accept their title and treat it like a gift. Because they found themselves. Because they found who they’re meant to be *_instead_* of what they want to be.
@Bridson David dude you obviously miss the entire point of this song. Nobody is a freak sure people look different but that doesn't mean someone doesn't love them. May you find the knowledge to know the difference one day
The point is they're not freaks. They're human beings just like everyone else, despite the discrimination they receive for what they look like. Different doesn't mean not human. Different and equal and no apologies for being human too, for existing.
Everyone is giving inspirational words so imma give you one We weren't born ugly, we were just born in a judgmental world. -Kim Namjoon💜 "To the world you may be one person, but to one person you mean the world" -Jeon Jungkook 💜 "You're too young to let the world break you" -Kim Taehyung💜 "We were born to be real not perfect" -Min Yoongi 💜 "Every individual is unique in their own way" -JHope💜
my friend passed away after having being succumbed to cancer he used to tune to this song in his last days, he never gave up, he fought like a warrior. in the fond memory of my friend I daily love listening to this masterpiece. tribute to him
I’m so sorry for your loss I know hard and sudden that is. But your friend is still with you as a warrior fighting along side you when the going gets tough. You’ll always be able to see your friend in your memories and dreams. The bond you share won’t ever break, even death can’t take that away.
the part where she says "there's nothing I'm not worthy of" really made me tear because ,of what other people have said to me and done to me in the past, i have made myself to believe that i don't deserve anything good in life and even tried to commit one time...i still have a very toxic and unhealthy state of mind but i am really trying to get better...
Stay strong and believe in yourself! You can get through this hard time. Keep your mind positive and everything will be ok. Keep your head up. Always keep a smile on your face and everything will be ok. Get better soon! 🌻🌷🌼🌹
You'll get better am sure keep praying and you deserve every thing you want like litrally ❤ I've been through this too am also still trying to get better .... Talk to someone tooo YOU ARE LOVED..... I love you... ❤
I have birthmarks on my face Since I was little, I have been bullied and felt alienated because of it. Listening to this song gives me courage Now I can proudly say that this is me
"And I know I deserve your love. There is nothing I'm not worthy of" This part really hit me. Damn. Also "I'm not scared to be seen , I make no apologies" Powerful stuff man
I always thought this movie was obscure or underrated but I'm realizing now that more people recognized its absolutely amazing talent, magical choreography and breathtaking songs.
@@arissapreston5280 did they just skipped the whole year or whaf it's impossible to go thru 2018 without hearing about this movie and the songs in it like, EVERYWHERE
@@Pluto7_vlogs you are very welcome I'm not a great parent I treat my children the way my father showed me. He taught me that no matter what someone looks like it's the character of their hearts that matter
This song should be in the top of the top .. just 673K people has noticed how powerful the lyric is and the amazing message it brings! shame of the world
I have a lot stitches on my face and black dot on my forehead and makes me feel ugly, but I just realized that my friends love me who I am and knows who I am, but they don’t judge me
A grown man, and this song has always touched my soul in ways I didnt think possible. Want an even more powerful performance, look at the rehearsal. I am not ashamed to say that every time I hear this song, I tear up. Every Single Time. Such a powerful song.
I love the part where they're walking in the street! I absolutely love how Letti looks like she's shielding the others from the protestors! This song is so powerful and I can kind of relate to this since I never had any friends when I was younger and that really affected me. It made me feel like nobody liked me for who I was. But now I'm older with more friends, and I've learned that it's okay to be you!
So many movies today try to have a message of diversity and inclusion and fail miserably. THIS is how you do it. Don’t build up one group up by tearing down another. Build people of all types up. Deliver your message in a way that literally anyone can identify with. Don’t make the movie secondary to the message, make the message secondary to a great movie. I applaud you The Greatest Showman. You did it right.
The line "there's nothing I'm not worthy of" just breaks me every time. I've always had this voice in my head telling me I'm not worthy of anything, that I'm all alone etc. But this song just spoke to me and made me realize that I'm not alone in having those feelings, and yes, even though I have a hard time accepting it, I and everyone else, are worthy of love and anything else. So if anyone is reading this, just know that you are so loved and deserve every positive thing that comes your way
