I feel like I've seen "The best SC2 series ever" as a title several times in the last year; every time I seriously doubt it could be better than the last. Happy to say I've been proven wrong every time :) These guys really are built different.

Reynor was so completely dead in that last game what an amazing comeback says a lot about the mental strength of Reynor especially against Maru - one of the most 'in your face'est Terran ever

Damn, these two are so equal that the entire series are defined by tiny mistakes and mis-clicks. GG WP As someone already mentioned, this felt more like Finals rather than Raynor vs Zest. Even his reaction at the end speaks volumes. #teammaru

As a Zerg player i can’t even explain what Reynor did in that last game. You don’t lose 4 bases to a terran on equal bases and come back. Against MARU?!???? Thats simply unbelievable.

Maru has to do some serious homework. Reynor used to die in early game to Maru's execution and agression just a couple of years ago. Reynor since has evolved into a monster survivor zerg with inhuman precision and execution. I think Maru hasn't evolved as much, but I still think Maru's potential and talent is better than Reynor's.

16:40, game time, in the second game, zerg zeros out mining at a terrain base by taking out 14 SCVs with banelings, but what do the casters see? I believe one of the caters suggested the banelings were useless and were easily handled by tanks, and then qualified the loss off SCVs as "Once again, damage done to Maru: a bit nothing." Is this what happens when casters gamble on the games they cast?

its pretty cool that the 2 best and most skilled zerg players of all time are 2 europeans, reynor and serral.

I broke out in applause at the end, I can count on less than one hand the times that's ever happened watching SC, what a fantastic game!

LOVE how the "highlights" are 52 minutes' worth of the BO5 - basically the whole series. This was amazing! Both players are so incredibly evenly matched.

That series was amazing to watch. And honestly, Stracraft needs more reactions like that one from Reynor in the end, it always had. People enjoy some character, that feeling of players being genuine

Last game maru lost even though he had bigger army because he left like seven widow mines at the bottom right side all clumped up. One last mistake that lost him the fame

I like reynor but he’s lucky maru made such brutal mistakes. He’s a great early - mid player but his late game needs so much work

I mean, Reynor pression is really something middle game. But I feel really bad for Maru, in general he strategically played better, in my opinion.

Zerg so broken You can just A move and leave ur stupidly broken units and do something else Terran has to kite all day or lose to Zerg army while being up in supply 3 Ultras killing an entire squad of Marauders that are supposed to counter them lol

just noticed manually detonated banes dont get included on units lost/resources lost screen... hmm.

Another example of the imbalance of TvZ ! Terrans don't have a solid counter to banelings! Even Maru with the best splits human can make isn't able to survive! And yes it's not free for reynor the but the cost effectiveness of destroying pretty much anything that doesn't fly with a unit that can do damage while it is moving (and is made from upgrading the first fighting unit available to the zerg and a small amount of gas) is unmatched in any of the 2 other races! For Terrans the solution is simple but blizzard is zero biais! Give the banshees' their barrage ability to do AOE! You are going to reply well zero is going to go more air to counter that and you are right which is why this things need to also happen : replace the auto turret ability from the raven by the healing disk (from Nova in the campaign mode) that repairs mech. With that done the battles will be balanced... well almost. The Fingal growth ability from the investor needs to be a little bit more realistic and not touch air AND ground at the same time!!! It can target one or the other but not both like we saw in this game medical plus ground units.

I don't think this was the greatest series due to games 3&4 kinda being flops and lost due to build order/poor timings but games 1, 2&5 where insanely close each time with few mistakes and decisions having massive impact. For example those 3 ultras killing 7 marauders when maru wasn't paying attention in game 5 was absolutely huge as it allowed the next few ultras to do a nasty counter attack that shut down Marus centre top base. Fantastic games but match 3&4 were pretty big let downs making it a mehhhh bo5 series imo.

Zergo are so OP... Its sad i must type this frequently. But its statistical true, that zerg winning most match..

26:55 a Zerg can fungal literally the entire army and it doesn't mean shit. Ghosts are broken, and TvZ is a Rock V scissors match. This games balance is objectively total shit. Z > P > T > Z
