The Greatness of the Ottoman Sultans 

I think perhaps television "can" help when it is the right television. It joggles the memory in our heart like a whisper that we could not hear but is now so strong we cannot deny it. I know watching Yunus Emre and Resurrection Ertugrul did that for me. Watching Omar on Islamic TV opened my heart and made me see what was there that I had not been able to see before. Here in the U.S. we have been brainwashed from very young to see, hear, taste and touch only Christianity and to have someone else's ideas of what that means forced into us until that was and is all we could see. Islam, Sufism took me back to my Heart, back to God's Heart. Now I see Jesus in a different way, a more complete way. And now I AM Blessed to know Muhammad, Ibn Arabi, Yunus Emre, Tapduk Emre and know their Teachings, May Blessings Always Be Upon Them! I have very much wished I knew how to read Ottoman Turkish. All we have is what someone else has read and translated. I would very much wish to be able to read The Qur'an as it was written in Arabic for then and only then will we know truly what it says. I find it frustrating for instance when I watched Yunus Emre and it is translated from Turkish to English and it is badly translated - it is translated only from word to word and leaves out the concepts of what was given as Teachings.
