The Green Caterpillar: The History Of TTTE 

Percy's introduction always stuck with me as a kid. Not necessarily because I love the character but because I always wondered who the other engines under cloaks could be. There was such a mysterious feel about them. Of course as I got older I realized it was just the other character's models hidden but it was fun to think about it.

You know, sometimes I forget that the tv series didn't introduce percy until a while after it started. He just seems to have always been there.

Percy was my favorite character because he was like the new kid. I would start going to school a month after it started in first grade. Ahh memories =)

I always liked how Percy has a more "chubby" body than the more svelte Thomas. It enhances his childlike character.

Something you didn’t point out is the fact that Percy’s left side rods were split in the production of season 5 (it can be seen in toby and the flood when Percy pulls toby back).

When Thomas, Edward, Henry, Gordon, James, or Percy enter the stage. The audience "Woo hoo". The audience when Toby enters the stage, "WOOOOOOO".

I really liked Percy in the CGI version. He has a very lively, expressive kind face, cute facial expressions. And the character of the character himself became richer in deep gentle human feelings. Percy has become a very charismatic person, a small locomotive capable of great deeds. And yet he remained a small plump green caterpillar. I love Percy))

I remember when I watched Percy get unveiled. I was giddy that there was going to be another small engine, but wondered, "How long has he been there? And who are the others?".

Little did we know he would become dumb in the cgi series

Percy was my fav character (at least top 3) during the original show. But ever since the HIT era, they have basically been watering-down his character into a toddler. It really sucks how he has been flanderized into a little kid😞

He might not be my favourite character, but my God, his theme is unbelievably catchy!

Something that always conflicted me about Percy is how he barely resembles is supposed real-life basis. I can understand Awdry's frustration.
