So..this is the third time I've covered this track on my channel because it's such a beautiful piece of music. For those of you who don't know already, the original piece plays during the ending scene of the movie, "The Grey" starring Liam Neeson.
I've decided to add more than just piano in this track unlike my previous covers of the song. I've arranged parts for the cello and for the violin to accompany the main theme of the song, and they were played by llTheCellist (cello) and HarbingerDOOM (violin).
Hope you all enjoy my arrangement of this feel-tastic piece.

I grew up in an old fashioned Scottish family...farming people....my father and I were very close but we never told each other or expressed our love for each other - such is the way. On his death bed and near the end of his last fight I held his hand... no words. None were needed.

This song was originally composed by Jamin Winans for the movie Ink. The song is called John’s Walk (with The City Surf as the intro to it) The Grey used it. Great job with the music!

My mother was in the hospital in 2013 for 7 days. She was sick for 15 years and the doctor had prescribed her many medicAtions including opiates. So she overdosed and that’s what brought her to the hospital. During those 7 days I had this song playing on my computer in my room upstairs all day so when I came back from the hospital each day I would hear this song play up until I’d leave again to go see her the next day. I remember I started playing piano right before this had happened and this is the first song I tried learning to play. My mom thought it was very beautiful and it made her really happy and cry listening to me play this song. She died on that 7th day she was in the ICU. This song has been so special to me and helped me remember moments with her. Thank you

I think I've found my most favourite song ever. It's so inspirational. It makes me think about Liam Neeson and the grief he must have felt and still be in after he lost his wife. I guess his best movies have things in common with his life. The Taken movies are about protecting his family, and The Grey is about survival and dealing with the inevitability of death, whether it's yours or someone else's. I guess they struck a chord with Liam.

Liam Neeson brought expression to the grey that no one else could, he made me feel the way he did, and it was so powerful, and listening to this song makes it even more powerful. It honestly makes me want to do more with my life, and to better prepare myself for where I’m going. Once I’m in the army, I too could face a situation where death is inevitable, and if the grey taught me anything it’s that I need to face it face to face and not to give up even if I have nothing to go home to, even if I want to die, I should fight for life

I've been listening to this incredible interpretation for years now. It gave me solace and kept me going at some of the lowest points in my life: injury, depression, relationship break ups, and even when i was homeless and living in my car during a hard cold winter, on the verge of freezing to death. I'm a 29 year old, happily married and expecting my first child in march of 2016. It will be a boy, listening to your cover I couldn't help but think of that little boy growing inside my wife's belly, it made me think of all the beautiful things I've been lucky enough to experience and how all of that pales in comparison with what's to come. before I knew it tears were streaming down my face. thank you.

+Ryan Spear thanks for the suggestion. it truly is everything you said it to be. I love this type of music, it makes me feel connected with the universe. I picture my self walking down some unknown coastline listening to the oceans whispers while witnessing a majestic sunset. music like this can truly transport you to another place. btw. I listen to all types of music, I don't know if what I'm gonna recommend is your cup of tea but I certainly hope so. theres a band called anathema and a song called ariel that I really love. check them out.

I haven't been in tears until I heard this song. I remember all the love I shared with my parents before they died a year ago. I will always cherish our conversations about life in my heart. The Last thing I said to my dad was "I forgive you". I don't regret saying that to him. Now it's time for me to try and get my family back. Because this song motivates me in a powerful way. 4:59, this sequence reminds me so much of the Bad Wolves cover version of "Zombie", by the Cranberries. Hauntingly beautiful is the only way I can describe it. Love your rendition of the amazing song! ❤
