Wow...just wow. The last part: Grand Master Voldus & The Black Crusade at times gave me legit goosebumps. Amazing use of music, complimented by top-notch narration and art-work selection. Here’s a fantasy; a Dark Souls game playing as a grey knight. Maybe he becomes stranded or separated from his team, purging as he goes. Could have areas in gothic architecture and have later ones in the warp itself. Daemons from various gods with different abilities as enemies. Nurgle has poison, Khorne obviously melee, trippy effects from Tzeench, mimics and temptations from Slaanesh. Man, I would play the shit out of that.

@@AsbestosMuffins Agreed. Thinking rather critically, The Angel could have killed Horus considering how many people were in the process of fighting Horus unsuccessfully when that duel went down. It's like the Emperor's Astartes and his literal genetically created children all got one particularly bad trait......they all stand in a line and take turns with individual combat in exactly the situation that they should be coldly using their numerical advantage to take that particularly bad dude apart. Makes me wonder if Rogal didn't have a plan when he created the Black Templar. Put a bunch of ruthless and calculating close-combat specialists who don't give a fig about the 'rules' in the same group......the next time a Chaos-infused Primarch starts wrecking shit.......he gets mobbed by a couple hundred of them at once instead of their captains honorably dying in single combat.

Same. I love the Grey Knights because the first WH40K lore I ever consumed was "The Emperor's Gift," following Squad Castian, more specifically Hyperion Bladebreaker. Finding out they'd made a game based around the Grey Knights purging the corruption of Nurgle was cause for celebration.

That's one hell of a battle, literally all the hommies showed up. A primarch, and his crew, legion of the damned, inquisition, grey knights, eldar harlequins, adepts custodies, the fists, and the sisters, and those ladies are no joke. The whole thing about the eldar is weird, sometimes they help, sometimes they don't.oh forgot the templars and skitari. Its like if you weren't here you weren't kewl.

The harlequins are basically the eldar equivalent of grey knights, as they are the only eldars that have escaped Slaneech's grip via some unknown method provided to them by the laughing god. Also like grey knights, harlequins are elite beyond that of other eldar and they fight the forces of chaos. Mainly Slaneesh, but also the other three. To that end, they sometimes help humans because they do realize that the emperor is a great enemy of chaos.

Dweller Agreed, I hate to be “that guy” but Disney made Star Wars even more for kids than it was before and it’s put me off immensely, especially TLJ and that dumb looking Resistance series. I thank the Emperor for it, though, as the lack of interest in Star Wars has been replaced with intrigue and fascination for the 40K universe.

The funny thing is this, for me.... This incredible Hobby has so much depth. Yet the aspect that I love the most is Rogue Trader. However, understanding and learning about the lore of the Imperium does help me to understand and better appreciate what I enjoy about the game. So thank you Luetin.

Every time i watch one of these videos of lore and events I've read about before, hearing them articulated so well along with the music that was used makes me shiver when I watch these videos. The work and commitment to this community has been above and beyond needed.. I know trying to understand the way of 40K is to understand the Winchester House in the sense with the more you know the better to Navigate around with ease, BUT that doesn't mean it will make sense and or add up.. My question is with the Black stones and how they interpret the Warp and Abilities but with the Black Stone Fortresses, Chaos and Demands have no problems operating and even unlocking their power also taking them into the Eye of Terra as well . Every picture you show shows the Fortresses rotated showing 8 points, is this just the case of the Black Library having way too many good idea Fairys amongst their staff over the year's... keep up the great work...

Luetin, there's a certain type of popular lore/narration/essay RU-vidrs that have this sort of narration style that has the exact same inflection and emphasis at the end of the sentence "loop" that is extremely easy to catch on and get annoyed by the repetitions of. You're not one of them and I'm so glad you're narrating 40K stuff so we can enjoy them without having to get a migraine.

Holy crap that last 20 minutes was intense! I was listening to it via earbuds while on a long drive. Your narration, background music and sound effects brought the journey of Guilliman back to Luna to life. I actually yelled YES! at certain points in the battle narration. lolol Well done!

I would like the reveal that all the grey knights tests are psychic voyages. Outlining not the physically brutal aspects of chaos marines, but mind fullness. All the training on titan actually a vast test to see who rises highest to save all those around them. Gods amongst men who lead and save against horrible odds. While it is true that knowledge of Chaos would certainly do more harm than good for the common citizenry of the imperium, the Emperor should have educated his Primarchs (ESPECIALLY MAGNUS) about the dangers of Chaos and by extension, the Ruinous Powers.

Nah bra the primarchs knowing would make it worse, Due to choas reacting to a threat (emperor) and gain strength to combat said threat so if the emperor told the primarchs then choas would of been much more powerful

Sadly GW doesn't know how to handle their lore, they keep making stupid shit with them like the sister of battle thing (retconed thanks to the emperor) and the garbage spacewolf thing (hopefully retconed in the future by the grace of the emperor). If they were to make one, I hope they stick to their original lore, they are not lapdogs of the Inquisition, in fact, the Inquisition has no authority over them, they shouldn't fight nor involve themselves with anyone other than demons as they wouldn't even care to fight other things specially not other Astartes or members of the imperium and most importantly they shouldn't go out of their way to kill "innocent" civilians unless they are tainted by chaos.

would be pretty boring all things considered. They wear the most plot armor ever conceived. Their very existence is that of a Mary Sue. The only reason they haven't cleansed the warp of daemons is because the writers won't let them. From their weapons to their actual names, they were written to kill daemons with the greatest of ease. A tv show about them would consist of watching normies get destroyed by daemon armies of the warp before the episode ends with 2 GK showing up and killing them all without ever straining themselves.

It's scary how they barely managed to win, considering the good guys had guilliman WITH the emperor's flaming sword, the grey knights, eldar harlequins, inquisition, legion of the damned, dark angels, then at the end, orbital bombardment followed by imperial fists, sisters, AND the adeptus custodes!
