I never get tired of this video. Richmond looks like a real bus station, 18 gates. The one in DC moved into the train station, it only has 8 gates and a very small ticket building, no seats or nothin. Passengers have to wait out in the cold for their bus. I must say again that you did a wonderful job on this video. Would be nice to see you film more stations. I'm a greyhound/bus fan also.
Did you ever see the old greyhound station on Broad Street? I passed through there as a child, vaguely remember the street front looked rather small but the bus loading area was large.
Richmong is one of my favorite Greyhound stations. This one has a big Maintainence Center beside it. Most of the buses are D and X units, very few falling apart G4500s like in Los Angeles or Seattle. Nice vid.
Wow, I remember around Christmas/New Years in the late 80's just before Greyhound bought out Trailways, I road a then brand new late Harrisburg Trailways Eagle Model 15 -40 footer into this station. We came in on the other side by stopping to register at the dispatch booth, while passing a whole row of other buses parked around the corner on the other side of the station. Also where those cars are at now used to be all buses laying over either for cleaning/maintenance or a trip assignment. Ahhhh, the good old days!
This is a pretty large terminal for Richmond's size, perhaps because of the great amount of North-South (via I-95) traffic and some East-West (via I-64) traffic...was very busy during my visits.
With 18 slips, Richmond's terminal is larger than I expected. But thinking of Greyhound's route system, it makes more sense. A lot of local, regional, and cross-country routes pass through, so it's no wonder the depot is larger than many cities that are larger.
We are here in Richmond Bus Station our Bus Time 11/15 pm southbound scaduall. 300 Hundere people weating for Bus. They Don't Have Bus🚴🏾🚴🏾🚴🏾🚴🏾🚴🏾 Very Bad services
Me and my family rode together on a Greyhound lines inc bus on the MCI MC12 #2255 to Jacksonville FL to switch buses to go to Tallahassee FL to see our great grandmother
ohh yes...i know that bus station in Atlanta all too well...its right by the marta subway station and you gotta be careful as hell there...i enjoy riding the greyhound, but i like to get out of that Atlanta terminal as quickly as possible...way too crowded in that terminal also..they should consider building a bigger one in a much better part of Atlanta
