The Grumman Plume: Toxic chemicals are contaminating our groundwater 

This should be a bigger story

Even if people get bottled water to drink, you’re still COOKING and washing and showering with contaminated water.

The U.S. Government is powerless due to gross incompetency throughout its rank and file. Hence, corporation do as they please as they profit from taxpayers without fear of foresight.

I worked there 1979 to 1986. I had no idea.

My mother died of cancer et at age 57, my father died of cancer two months ago at age 74. My sister and I have both had melanoma. We all are from Massapequa NY. None of the cancers were related or genetic. We live on the water. Well my father and I finally had had it and purchased an expensive water filtration system for our entire 3000 sq ft house. I am now moving and purchasing a new one even though I do t have the money. After we started using the water system we already felt better after weeks. It tastes completely different, I had no more constant headaches, and no more cancer scares. But the damage is done. This is no coincidence. This is bc of the Grumman Co. and our water company which is horrible-Liberty. What they use as statistics and what is considered red passable for water for us to use is BS bc they are allowed to lower their standards. Trust me. I did my research. Please do so for yourself and do NOT drink or bathe or cook with tap! Invest in a water filtration system. I’m purposely not even naming which one we got bc I do t want anyone thinking I have ill intent or am trying to advertise anything. God Bless.

Bottled water is no good

These chemicals have been dumped since the ‘40s. Oyster Bay residents deserve reparations from the increased rates of cancer in their community.
