They’ve beaten Liquid, and stand a chance to get into lower bracket final. If NA can’t pull anything superb during VCT 2022, then you can say NA is dying. But until then, Optic has been looking strong and actually stand a chance, so let’s just see how it goes.

No excuses for saying The Guard is new to LAN and stuff just look at how Gambit play on their first LAN absolutely amazing, If we are talking about age gap I don’t think they are any younger than Gambit players. Just accept the fact that Paperex played really good and tbh I think Paperex literally destroy them in these few matches especially Jinggg who is also new to LAN. For me I think The Guard can’t adapt the play styles of Paperex since they are aggressive asf, so this is why they lost.

this went about exactly how i expected as a fan of both teams, i didnt consider this a big match for prx at all them losing wouldve been shocking. tgrd is good for a young team yes but they lack a ton if experience especially since NA isn't the most.. dynamic region in the world. i hope they learnt a lot from prx and maybe use this "go first strat later" playsryle sometimes like gmb does!

paper rex just outplayed the guard with classic SEA server style. fast, chaos approach. also dont give a fuck let go for it.

As a APAC I proud they are outplayed the NA but if They face Japan I’m quite worried they play like slow

GUARD may have been nervous at the first international competition. But I'm not disappointed. They learned a lot from the first international LAN tournament in a team of five young people. I hope it will evolve further and come back at the Champions at the end of the year. Above all, I'm looking forward to seeing Korean player Sayaplayer make a leap forward in the NA area and further advance this!

I don’t really think they learned a lot, 1 of the 2 games they had was against an NA team which gets you little to none new experience whatsoever, but at least experienced paper rex which is good I guess.
