Krista Cameron I mean I get that it was recorded at the end of Jeffrey's lifetime but it's just such an essential for any gun club fan and so underrated.
... i'm gonna have to go back and listen to pha seek. bought it used and it did not hit right upon initial listen. shelved it and never did go back. these two songs seem like a no-brainer and sound better to me than when i got impatient with the material that did make the album.
Hi! I figured it out by ear a couple months ago. It's a pretty simple song but forgive my chord descriptions, I lack musical theory. I play D/Em/G during the verses. Pretty easy strumming pattern. Chorus (melancholic sections of the song) G#m barre chord (4th fret) -> C#m (4th fret E shape barre chord) B barre chord (7th fret) -> Am shared barre chord (7th fret) - essentially playing the 4th fret chords in reverse order if that makes sense. I like to strum down and then arpeggiate the e, b, g strings twice before moving to the next chord. Kinda fills out the sound by touching on some of what the slide is doing. Last chorus variation - F# (2nd fret) and slide down to an E chord A/G - short outro bit. Hope that makes sense!!!!
