The Gunbarrel 25 mogul marathon is a yearly event at Heavenly . Competitors have 6 hours to complete as many laps threw the moguls as they can. There is also a race to complete 25 laps first. This race was started by local ski hero and ski hall of fame member Glen Plake. Every year the the race is different due to snow conditions. This year the race was held on East Bowl run with not enough snow on Gunbarrel. With warn temperatures before the race the moguls were huge with areas of rotten snow and many obstacles to navigate.
