Our guts are like our 'second brain' so it's kind of important to look after them well and make sure we are providing them with the right nutrition.
Any upset in your gut can lead to you feeling pretty poor as it has such a big impact on our bodies and immune system.
This tea is perfect for helping to resolve some of the inflammation that we experience when leaky gut occurs, and can help the gut to have a period of rest and healing.
To make the tea you will need:
1 Lemon (Sliced)
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp Tumeric
1/8 Black pepper
4 Cups Water
Cinnamon stick (optional)
Put ingredients into a pan and bring to the boil, simmer for 10 mins. Then pour and enjoy 😊
Perfect for a nice healthy winter drink instead of tea or coffee.

You really know your stuff! Its great to see it. I had been taking tumeric & cinnamon for over 8 years but stopped when I got diabetes prescriptions...like your new speed between videos. On just this one? Cool dog...he looks pointed...streamlined. Best...

Hi 👋 Thank you, I'm very keen on reading up on stuff. From an early age I've always been taught to eat well by my Mum and Dad and to look after our health. I am really interested in gut health though and the relation to the brain. My dogs are Salukis 😍🌼, agile, fast and very affectionate. My life wouldn't be the same without them. I'll be sure to keep the speed 👍. Keep well

I think far too little research is being done on this topic, kind of disappointing after 50+ years of MS research. thanks for the recipe! :)

I absolutely agree with you, let's hope the research for MS starts covering this a little more. You're welcome 😊👍

@@lauraironstalksms indeed! I think understanding something like MS could also help everyone on earth! I am sure learning more about leaky gut would help those with other autoimmune diseases / Chron's/ Remyelination / stopping the brain aging is a huge component of staying young and healthy. Let's hope for the best and that it's not too late for us! 😅

I think the research is heavily focused on DMD's (which ironically have a huge impact on our guts!) but I agree, it would benefit a number of people with other auto-immune diseases. I want to stay young and healthy, I'm in 😂.. It's never too late

The microbiome is very important for those of us with MS and I think that with ongoing research were going to find out it's one of the most important factors for our well being. I take probiotics, drink kombucha frequently and eat lots of vegetables which are not necessarily 100% clean since that little bit of dirt can actually be a very good thing for your microbiome as gross as that sounds. I also stopped taking Ibuprofen which kills of your microbiome similar to antibiotics just not as much. The only reason I don't drink Turmeric is that I'm afraid I'm going to end up with yellow teeth. Am I incorrect in my thinking and it does not? You have fantastic teeth so I'm presuming not.

Probiotics are an excellent way to help neutralise the gut. I too drink kefir and often eat fermented cabbage. Eating vegetables is excellent, but you then read about vegetables containing lectins and how they have a negative impact on your immune health and gut. Luckily I haven't ever experienced this eating any vegetable - my favourite is becoming Brussel sprouts :-) I cook and eat mushrooms with dirt on and I'm still alive and kicking! I didn't know that about ibuprofen 🤔 I think you would have to be drinking it everyday and eating loads of curries. But it's such a small quantity and I've never noticed any staining with my teeth. I brush them twice a day with bicarbonate of soda toothpaste. Tumeric can prevent plaque build up and gingivitis - a good all rounder 👍.

Curious about all of your thoughts around folks like Terry Wahls, Brooke Goldner, and the likes. They push healing auto immune disorders via diet alone.

Yes, very interested in this. I read a book about 6 years ago called 'New Developments for MS Sufferers' by Jan de Vriers. It talks about a guy who basically reverses his severe MS symptoms purely by modifying his diet. This book is a very interesting read - I recommend it.
