Great review! I’ve heard about this book for a long while or seen it, but I didn’t know what it was about. It does sound strong for a debut novel, and blue covers are always fun!
Love the point about the detail level about the cover - enough to give you a great look at the vibe, not enough to dominate. Really need to get to this book, sounds fantastic.

I love this book, this review was nearly 100% accurate, the only thing is that when they mention Cari being a worshipper of a god they call her an initiate, not a priest.

Currently reading. I prefer more defined magic systems so I'm not exactly excited while reading. After this review though I'm definitely going to finish it now.
