They only play at a different tune because you have more than one together at the same time. Gyroid are designed to harmonize with themselves so if you have five if the sake type they're all going to play something differently
I gotta say, I never really cared much for gyroids in NL, and could've cared less about them being added to NH, but now I'm absolutely obsessed with them
Same!! This is my first animal crossing game and when I saw the gyroids from previous AC games I thought they looked creepy and never really got the hype. But in ACNH they look so much cuter and I now cannot stop collecting them and watching videos of them lol
I found the funniest glitch when I was putting a gyroid in my bathroom. Clicked it and it attached on the wall almost at floor level. I have the claw foot tub, and the gyroid glitches through the tub, and looks like he's sitting in the bath! 🤣 I laughed way too long at it for a woman my age, but I don't care lol. It's adorable!! 🤭🥰🤣
it's called clipping when an object goes past another object, it can be fun experimenting with wall items and floor items because of this~ Try using the Cypress bath in a corner with gyroids, they will look like they are chilling in there~
@@KandyKaneNails Oh man, I have left similar comments on ACNH creators. I am also a nurse and if it weren't for AC and my family and my faith I would be so lost right now... It was such a wonderful way to see my friends without us being risky and we could catch up on events and also have a fishing tournament 😂 man... Such good memories, though times were super rough.
I think they will be playing at different speeds even if they are the same colour. I've been adding a few of the same on walls in HHP and they do they same thing
I CANNOT stop watching everyone's videos of all their gyroids. I have like 8 or 9. I didn't much care for them in NL. But these are AWESOME. It's been one of my favorite additions. I love Paradise Planning but these gyroids are everything to me.
i really didn't love gyroids in NL (too many of them popping up everywhere, didn't wanna place them because they were annoying to me) but they've gotten so lovable in new horizons that i'm really really happy with them now
Yeah I was thinking this too. They’re just vibing differently because they’re on the “random” notes. Sometimes a song will have non random note sections and they’ll all sync up for that part. The different colours having different pitches and tempos is I think a false assumption.
I didn’t realize that each of the color variations play at a different rate, beat, and tune! Seems like I have to wait quite a bit for someone her on RU-vid to upload a video with all of K.K. Slider’s songs with all of the Gyroids, and their color variations playing all at once…it’ll sound worth it having a whole orchestra of Gyroids!
I'm not sure it's due to the colour, tbh Multiple gyroids harmonise with each other, so play at different speeds/tones in order to harmonise with themselves. Filling a room in Redd's studio with one colour has the same effect he's showing here.
I don't know how many might not know this: But you can also create full Gyroid rooms on your vacation islands. And on your villagers back at home once you decorated 30 vacation homes with the DLC. You can adjust them on the walls and everything, and all the ones you collected will show up with the different colours. (You can also do that for villagers you hate, and just get rid of literally everything and fill their house up with the worst sounding gyroids lol) If that helps anyone discover it, your welcome.
I too didn't care for gyroids in new leaf. Found them just a boring collectathon. But now I'm literally obsessed. I even build a little dig spot for them. Its just amazing.
It’s so great that they play along to music. I didn’t even know there were colour variations! Amazing. P.s my favourite gyroid is the one that looks like a bong.
I can't stop collecting gyroids! I love them! I already built a room for them. Now I have to create a gyroid night club because of the different sync to songs and the variations.
I have two of the same colour of the same gyroid and I just tested and they don’t sync up either. So it doesn’t matter what colour they are. They didn’t sync with music or without music.
This was a feature I was like "eh cute but not my priority" during the direct and now it is my goal in life to be surrounded by gyroids at all times. I was so wrong.
They’re real! In Japanese Gyroids were made for ritual use and buried with the dead as funerary objects during the Kofun period in Japan. Why they can’t make music like in the game, they’re based off haniwa! That’s what they are called irl
It's really neat that Nintendo put so much care into making these. For older AC players, remember the good old times of shrieking and completely offbeat noises? XD
This is only partly true. The tune they sing has nothing to do with their colour. You can have a room full of green twangoids and no two will be exactly the same. All you have to do to test this is place two of the same two gyroids and already they will be independent.
Thank you for the adorable gyroid content! I am in love with the little gyroids in ACNH. Have you experimented with putting different gyroids who are all the same color out? I’m curious if it makes a musical difference when you display a bunch of blue ones, or a bunch of brown ones…
i actually think that if you just put together a bunch of the same gyroid in different colors it makes a neat little tune did you hear those little guys? makin their own lil symphony

I noticed that the color variations changed how they vibed early on because my first few gyroids were Tockoids and they were different colors. I can't wait until I have enough for every color because I'm going to geek out over them lmao.
To get them all going at the same time playing together turn um all off than quick turn um all back on and they should play all be synced together.. It’s the same as ACCF.. 🥰 Awesome video TYSM 🥰💕

I think I have a gyroid problem to lolz! And my first 2 gyroids grew at the same day and became the same type! 1/36 chance for that they were bloopoids the best ones ever.

No, you have to keep getting fragments. Or if it's raining on your island, you can go search for whole gyroids. It's easier if you bury 6 fossils in one area, though, that way any star shaped hole that pops up is guaranteed to be a gyroid.

Now did you know that a popular theory is that Gyroids are based on the Haniwa wich are ornaments wich houses a soul after death ( or so is the belive I think) therefore you are holding spirits in your home and whenever you are digging up one you are disturbing an ancient grave?
I don't think it's a theory. I thought it was confirmed, and Coco is supposed to be modeled after a gyroid, which makes her all the more adorably creepy.

If it is confirmed than I would like to see the interview in wich Nintendo or the creators of Animal Corossing stated such. Untill than it is still a theory.

@@davidmartin5483 they are quiet obviously based off of them so i’m sure many Japanese people have seen them and drawn that conclusion. Why would nintendo base them off Haniwa so obviously if they were worried about people learning the truth? They are literally called Haniwa in the Japanese version of the game. Haniwa have lost some of their historical meaning as they now appear in many video games and you find cute modern sculptures of them. If you search the word はにわ you can found a lot of cute modern versions of them. It seems now they’re more associated with the style than the historical use.
