I'm trying to mend my broken heart, focusing on filling it with God shortly after one of my older brothers passed away in July. Just before he did I heard he was moving and cried, it wouldn't feel like home because everyone else has moved away (besides my mother who I dont have a strong bond with). I realized what he meant to me but i didn't say it, just that I loved him. I wonder about things but try to seek most of my guidance from our creator. Plastor Rick, my best friend in Taiwan has been suffering depression for a few years. Despite being a Christian herself, she was not able to get out it for years. After she listened to your ‘habit of happiness’ series with Chinese subtitles in December 18, she told me she suddenly saw the lights. She hasn’t needed to take any medicines since and her heart is being healed. Thanks God that we found your sermons. Thank you Pastor Rick. May God bless you continuously. That's truly great for her. I don't know what else to say about that. I'd love to understand more about how this lady turned around and what she actually did. What changes did she make. What changed for her. Take care both of you.
This lesson helps. I’m really struggling with loving with my heart. All my thoughts are taking over my life, which I understand is not good for me and the people who are near and dear to me. I’m working and trying to find away but I’m just stuck in my bad habits and bad thoughts.

We don't become happy right away. You may not be happy in the situations of domestic violence. I first needed to break relationship destructing me and move far from that person. But I thank God that I had that negative experience and was forced to learn a lot how to build safe relationships.

Hmmm, I first thank God for your life Pastor Rick, and even so for this word, i really really lack happiness in my life to de extent that I don't seem to understand what happeness actually is anymore, and i have difficulty appreciating my wife even though I pray for her more than all in my world, so I pray today, even from this moment in all humility that the Lord works his salvation through me to learn to be able to appreciate her, and to see the good in her and not the bad, and to find happiness and the peace of the Lord through Christ Jesus, Amen!🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿
I definitely have taken my wife for granted. I'm sure that's one of the reasons we are not together. Hard to learn so much from lose. Unfortunately that's the only way I learn. Jesus please change my heart. In Jesus Christ mighty name. Amen
The five laws are so convicting for me as I realise I have created so many unhealthy habits seeking happiness in all the wrong places. It is no wonder I am depressed an unable to get out of bed.
it's all true. of course. it's the result and no product of good thinking and right living. the problem comes when mental illness is in the mix. it makes sense but it's no good when your life is wrecked.

I read about getting happiness by eliminating the problem space in your mind. And search you to find out what you said about it....and here you are ... telling me to stop searching but create it...and make it happening by doing a positive praying...thank you Pastor Rick...

of course it can. if you live by God’s word anything is possible. but make sure to help your loved one to believe because the sad reality is that once they pass away the believer will go to heaven and the non believer won’t, if you love them then you will help them and preach the gospel to them and never give up
