What a great episode. Jon does a tremendous job of keeping track of all the action and retcon’ing in a seamless way that doesn’t relieve the tension or slow the action. Mike, David, Matt, and Ted do an incredible job of adapting and finding a way to achieve their objective even if the cost was high. Thanks fellas!

*Spoilers* . . . . Matt's portrayal of Avaricios was really fantastic: a hard-drinking, wise-cracking Guido Sarducci of the dungeon. Av was the Heart of the AV Club and allowed Matt to showcase his considerable wit. Expert roleplaying.

I agree... I'm very sad to see him go. AV was actually my favorite character, and one of the unofficial leaders imo. Definitely a senior member, very useful, one of the faces of the club, and his personality was unique and excellently portrayed. What will happen to Larel's spirit? But such is the nature of D&D - OSR style, anyway. Very sort of grim dark, huh? The silver lining, of course, is that behind every great character is a great player. Matt is still here, already running other interesting characters. 🌹 🪦 🌹

WOW! What an episode! I know that these combats can be really complicated what with all the moving pieces, and just want to give a thumbs-up to Jon for keeping it all running and being willing to make retcons! It was a blast to witness! Spoilers Avaricious being blasted was not so fun to witness, but damn if he didn't have a good run. Kudos to Matt for taking it on the chin - what a fun journey that drunk had!

No spoilers, but what a great episode. We were on the edge of our seats listening to this. Jon, as always, does an inspiring job keeping everything moving, and there was some good thinking by every player in this session. Okay, now spoilers: Several episodes ago, when Wulfheard was almost taken down by the spiders, I commented how amazing it was that Matt hadn't lost a single character yet. And while that's no longer true, what a GREAT run Avaricios had. Kudos to Matt, I'll drain a glass of wine in dear, departed Av's name tonight.

OMG I thought there was no delve video this week, similar to no detox last week. I love every video that 3d6 Down The Line does! Is Yost a lvl 5 fighter? If so, does he have multi-attack? I seem not to understand what exactly that girdle of giant strength does? If its a true girdfle of giant strength shouldn't it give the PC a THAC0 of a 7HD monster (THAC0 drops to 12 or a +7 to hit). So attack rolls should be at +7 bonus to hit and do double damage? Idk if its the OSE version but I am confused since it does give the ability to throw boullders?

@@mooderino Pretty sure its a house rule, or at least not taken directly from OSE unless I'm mistaken. Comes from the idea of a shield being sundered if hit - normal shields can only be used once.

I've been writing a new blocking design that's still in "alpha" -- we soft launched it to test live & while its not quiiiiiite ready to share, keep a look out for more to come soon! For now i highly recommend using "Shields Shall be Splintered!" which was an inspiration for what im tinkering on!

@@mechjack22 we DON'T know where it is on the map. we just used a blank space on the miro board (on the page with the existing map) to chart the immediate environs. HOWEVER we knew its in that vicinity b/c of the chair of seeing used by Lothar and Av in a previous session.
