Just noticed; there's one severe flaw with this masterpiece...there's no receiver mechanism to draw the bolts up from the drum magazine! If only it wasn't JUST a prop...
It's a belt fed full auto crossbow. Those drums are belts contained in a drum, I own drum tech. I had the idea to put a belt in a container to make it a large magazine.
The Ancient Chinese had a repeating cross bow. Not nearly as powerful and accurate as this but designed to be used by a troop of soldiers raining a barrage of bolts (many dipped in toxins) on the enemy.
fantastic great invention, i also really like this kind of thing, this is very dramatic weapon to kill vampire. this weapon could save mankind from vampire. they would wait for the timming to attack city as i think so we have to develop and make more weapons to fight.
un Vlad "Functional SFX crossbow" SFX as in special effects and has moving parts to make it look real. It's not saying it's an actual proper functional crossbow.
The string is loose because you can’t dry fire a crossbow without it exploding. A crossbow must be armed to fire when strung properly. This is why they make bolt discharge targets to release the potential energy of a hunt is unsuccessful, the force on the limbs being too powerful to simply manually decock it.
Can someone please explain to me how the pull back and release mechanism works? I just cant see in this video how it pulls the string back and then lets go without snagging.
The crossbow went together quickly and the general fit and finish is a bit above what I expected for the price. ru-vid.comUgkx5B43Qabqt1HedUJyfEqxiwBCfaooIH52 The adjustable stock is a little loose. I had an issue when I tried to cock the bow for the first time with the safety on. The string set in the trap box, held just enough to build up enough tension to rip the string out of my hands when it let go. No significant damage was done, and once I got it sighted in, I wrecked a couple bolts by sending one straight down the shaft of the first. I'm holding ~2" groups at around 50 yards, and I'm not an expert by any means. Best part is that they supply all the replacements parts you may ever need
