I saw this performance for the first time a few days ago I've been a fan of Rit & Dave Grusin for a long time but the hang all star band blew me away . They are without a doubt the best musicians I've ever seen .

Grusin, Ritenuer and Smidt - it simply don't get better, and to gather with the other musicians, they simply reach another level. I just love to listen to it. Thanks so much to the Jazz+ and the band.

It does get better, a whole lot better! LR & DG are very comercial and water down smooth "jazz" that died in the 90´s with all the smoth jazz fab and Kenny G! They are great musicians that chose to make money with elevator music!

I thought that keyboard guy solo was Ritenour on guitar at first. It mimics what Lee does in the way of guitar tone distortion, overdrive, coupled with a few accent bends and some fast scale runs.....but, no, look harder and old Lee is just strumming away on rhythm guitar, vamping. Nice keyboard work whoever that was......he knows how to use the pitch bend control.

That was Don Grusin, the brother of Dave Grusin if I’m not mistaken on keyboard. 😃

@@TheRumbleGod You are probably right. Lee performed with each Grusin extensively, didn't he? We're accustomed to seeing Dave G. with Lee over the years.

Ugh, what brought all these musicians together on stage? The only recognizable persons in The Hang All Stars are Ritenour and Grusin. Who are these other people? Is "Hang" a venue, club, city, nation state, or what? Any other American musicians in this group?
