Only in the 70’s could you get away with this.

I remember this! It was strange then, and it's really strange now!

This show lasted five episodes, and it was short lived. This was HB’s blatant attempt at a TV variety show outside of cartoons. It had a handful of guest stars on there during a 5-week run, and the songs were quite good. The “Hanna-Barbera Happy Hour” doesn’t hold a candle to other TV variety shows like “The Carol Burnett Show”, “Donnie & Marie”, “Sonny & Cher Show”, “The Muppet Show” and others. But sadly, WB never released the complete 5-episode series on home media as part of the “Warner Archive” series, because of their guest appearances and musical performances wanted their residuals. This show fell into obscurity, but out of the five episodes produced, this is the only episode of the “Hanna-Barbera Happy Hour” has been found, the other four remains lost. And another thing, this episode doesn’t have the “Rainbow HB” logo at the very end. 21:06 is where the musical number got cut out due to copyright issues. The Sylvers were a talented R&B, soul/disco family band from L.A. - they did “Boogie Fever” and eventually became Dynasty and Shalamar in the 80’s with SOLAR records.

I love the part of the show that shows yogi bear,hair bear,dynomutt,scat cat, and hong Kong phooey dancing
