Never realized this before but after closely listening to the song, this can very much be about a person with anxious/intrusive thoughts clinging on to a loved one to ground them. Dude, I dont even listen to this type of music but every time I hear this song on the radio I cant help myself but to Jam out to it. This song rocks!

I can really only listen to a handful of songs cuz I listen to the same song on repeat, and this is one of those types of songs fortunately. For comparison, several other songs are from super big artists, and some are professionally produced musical theatre songs
