I decided to be happy tonight after crying my soul out for my marriage coming to and end then I started listening to this sermon for the second time today and after writing a few things down I decided to be happy because there's life beyond where I am right now and I will not bring my pain with me. I decided to keep it right here. Thank you for your peace Lord. Thank you for loving me through this. Thank you for not giving up on me even when I gave up on myself....Amen and Amen!

Amen, I pray God’s strength over you, My Father WILL help you and sustain you through this and every circumstance. He is our Refuge and Strength, He is a present help in times of trouble. You WILL get through this by God’s Grace and come out stronger on the other side. Jesus has promised us that he is working ALL things together for our good. I can only imagine the pain and restlessness that you may be feeling, but The Lord Almighty is so much bigger. He who Was in the beginning, Is and is to Come, He who Created all things by the breath of his mouth, and Knitted you together in your mother’s womb, cares ever so much about your situation and your well being, Remind yourself of his Love that is so great that it is beyond comprehension and beyond imagination. Jesus Will guide you, comfort you, and strengthen you through this. In Jesus name Amen🙏❤️

I just wanted to let you all know, my brother and I finally are off of the streets! We are in a mobile home in North Platte Nebraska! Thanks to our Lord and savior! And Doug Curley from Colorado. I have made the mistake to place my happiness on my husband and now that he has abandoned my children and I over an affair I am having a very diff time finding my happiness. I know that my joy should come from the lord so I spend a lot of time with God trying my best to get through this. Anyone who reads this please pray for me and my children. 🙏

Im fighting everyday to be happy. Emotionally I’m exhausted. I’m a single parent raising a child with learning disabilities and now she’s also struggling emotionally. My daughter is getting all the professional help she needs but it’s not enough. I accepted Jesus back in my life thanks to Pastor Steven and his sermons! He’s helping me everyday with his words. It seems like I have been a Christian all my life. I am a Christian author 23 books. I have promises from God about those books but they are as yet unfulfilled and I am struggling financially. My husband came to the Lord late in life and he loves Jesus but he was ever taught to Tithe so most often he doesn’t. I am super diligent with my finances. He seems so blessed financially while I struggle and I just told God this morning why do you bless him and not me? Like the brother of the prodigal that stayed home. I’m working so hard I’m so thankful can I do it all for you and it seems so pointless. Your message touched me right where I live today

Coming from a man who grew up very conservatively as a Christian, and has watched alot of your videos, and used to be one of the people you mentioned in the beginning that thought that you were another " TV PROSPERITY PREACHER". This sermon pushed me over the edge in my decision to entrust that you are truly a blessing that can improve one's relationship with God, and it makes me "HAPPY" that God made your voice and message only afew clicks and taps away with modern technology. I had to smile this morning. Last night during my time with Yahweh, the scripture came to mind, Nehemiah 8:10 which ends by saying, "the joy of the Lord is my strength." This morning as I got up and spending time with Yahweh, he was speaking to me about happiness and also that happiness comes at the end of enduring a testing period, but that we can find joy also during the testing. And I decided to sketch it out, but that I would listen to music while sketching. The first thing on my list when I opened RU-vid was this, "The Hard Work of Happiness." Yahweh is not even "trying" to tell me something here: He is definitely shouting it from the rooftops.

Needed to hear this... I quit my job in last November and went back to school because I wasn't happy and I thought if I get a job that pays more after I graduate I'll be happy and be a better provider for my wife. I am struggling mentally with worries about money and even though I don't show it I am deeply scared to lose everything I have. Life hasn't been easy for me and I have had to work hard to get to this point. I have nearly everything I have ever wanted, I have an amazing wife, my own home, a nice truck and 6 month old puppy that is awesome and I love him. But I am not happy with myself. At times I just feel lost and unwanted. I am beginning to struggle with school and my grades are starting to slip. I am starting to doubt that I am smart enough to even keep going. I need a fresh embrace from my heavenly father ... but if I am honest with myself I don't feel I deserve it. I have become a half hearted follower and just going through the motions some days. Please pray for me...

I will most definitely keep you in my prayers, because you mentioned a lot of things in your comment that I totally relate to. God has been kind and pulled out of most of those dark feelings. I also want to share with you what He shared with me… “I want you to be emotionally honest with me.” When you are hurt, disappointed by Him, it’s ok He won’t get mad, because He knows what goes on in your heart. You don’t feel deserving because either you did or you feel you’ve messed up too much - trust me I know the feeling too well… as I am typing it is laid in my spirit to tell you “By virtue of being my child, you deserve. I love you, I will help you and I will save you.” Is 61:7. You are in my prayers

The fact that you can acknowledge your feelings and the fact that you are trying says everything. You are WORTHY of Gods love even when you don’t feel it. On those days God is looking down with an aching heart because he just wants you to cry out to him so that he may pour into you all that he has. He loves you to death literally. Do not let the enemy corrupt your thoughts. Cry out To the one who LOVES you.

I completely understand you, I did the same thing last year. I gave up my full time job and did part-time work and went back to school full time. I thought if I could get my cna license and other certificates I will have a chance at a better career. I wanted to quit half way into it but somehow I listened to a lot of sermons on my drive to school. I ended up finishing and getting all my certificates and license. Don't give up, you can do it! It's just a rough patch that you have to ride out. Good luck!

This message is amazing! I lost my child almost three years ago. Along this journey, I have picked up several thousands of simple heart shaped rocks that I call God’s love. He has shown me more love than any person on this earth ever could. I even got pulled over and my car searched for drugs because of all the Godly love I carry around in my car. When I told him that my rocks were love from God, he asked me if I’d seen a therapist since I lost my child. I informed him I have three on standby to prove I’m not insane. Only a little crazy, and God loves my crazy. 😊

This was an amazing sermon. Eye-opening. God wants us to be happy in Him. I learned alot. I'm struggling with physical issues and also looking after my mom who has dementia really bad so its alot on me. And i struggled with happiness. I hurt my back badly about 3 weeks ago because i tried to catch my mom when she was falling, me already having serious back problems. My lower back had a big knob on the bone. It hurt alot and my legs frequently felt like the are going to give way and i had to grab onto something. I couldn't walk far, kneel to help my mom, lift my hands above my head etc. That Sunday i tried to drive to church but when i put the car in reverse i got a really bad pain from my neck down to my lower back. My husband took me to church. I told him i'm going no matter what. My pastor and the church prayed for me and i had an amazing experience with God while he was praying for me. I cannot describe it fully but it was in the Spirit. I was standing up straight in in the Spirit. I felt such peace, calmness and His love around me. When my pastor finished praying i stood firmly on the ground. From that moment my legs didn't gave way again and the knob on my spine was healed. He also prayed for my depression and i feel happy again despite my problems. I'm happy in the Lord. He is my happiness and strength. Through all the struggles in my life since i was a baby, He was there. He has never left me and i know He never will. You are truly doing great work and God is speaking powerfully through you. God touches so many people through you. I love your sermons.

I have been through a lot in my life! Raising two boys to become men and I’m a single woman.Trying to be strong and hold everything in when Satan keeps putting things above and beyond my shoulders! People don’t realize I have a lot of pain in my soul! But both of my boys are successful and I still have breath in my body! I got to trust GOD! I will lift my eyes to GOD! Thanks for this message!

Watching this sermon alone (holding my 6 month daughter) after a failed attempt at having church together with my family- felt like something I cannot describe other than a rebirth of my happiness. Which I have just been reminded all over again is an inside job. I am so blessed and so grateful to have come across this sermon, I prayed for the Holy Spirit to show up and to meet with my daughter and I this morning as we have church, since we are two after all and His word promises that He will be with us. The Holy Spirit did just that - He delivered this sermon to me at the just the right and perfect moment in which I could have down spiralled into discouragement. He is SO SO faithful. And I am in sooo much awe of His goodness and mercy towards us 😭🙏🏽 I just want to say thank you soooo much Ps Steven for this message and for holding out through all the years it ultimately took you to give birth to this sermon during your own walk / quest to working hard for happiness. Pastor Steven... You led me to Jesus in jail. I spent a year in Travis county. We had tablets that we can watch podcasts and that's where i found yours. I have seen most of your sermons MULTIPLE times. I have 4 notebooks full of wisdom that i have learned. I love your humility. Humility is honesty about weakness... It makes you relatable. I can relate to you, therefore i can use your experiences and borrow your faith in times of need. I know the Bible better than ever now because of your help. I was addicted to meth and heroin all of my life ... Now i own my own welding business. I represent Jesus in everything i do. My business name is sonrise fabrication... Thank you amazing elevation church mighty prayer warriors always praying two months for my 83year in perfect health but was complaint every day her tummy was in a lot of pain her tummy was forming blood pockets in the lining of my moms tummy due to her blood thinners were causing a unexpected blood pockets causing blood pockets in her tummy causing thin dark blood in my moms stools so my sister thought her and my momma better get checked out just to play it safe.we had already lost my daddy at Christmas eve the hospital accidentally killed my father.he was only a young age of only 51i hadn't seen my daddy in a that whole year.he was my only protector and my faithful loyal defender.his last words to me because I hadn't seen my daddy in over a year1991.his last words were sherrpie my nickname he called me since age 3in Hollywood California.he told me over the phone coughing he always coughed and the paramedics knew my daddy by my dads first name my daddy had congestive heart failure I just never realized that heart disease is a killer. Just ignoredhis heat sickness my dad weighed 500pounds he loved drinking water and staying up all night eating icecubes my 5younger sister and me just knew my sister was a 16yr old and I was 19oh I think I messed up on our age but anyway we were young both of us we won't 1:04:18 yet reaching

Happiness is a choice we make each day. That is why Working Hard for Happiness is the perfect sermon for us. Each day we can choose to put our faith into God no matter our circumstances. I do not know the storms every one is going through but I do know God brought you through every storm this far, so trust Him. We can today choose to not let our worries, troubles, fears come first but put God first. I currently still have a downfall of worrying but I wake up and say “Thank you God for this day.” Find happiness in God, your children’s laughter, a smile, the sun, or a memory. God created You in His image. You are what He wants in this world to be the light. Choose happiness in this day and put your faith into God. Father Abba, Thank you for bringing us all here to hear The Word of God. Thank you for blessing us with this day and giving us all we need for this day. Today, I choose happiness. I choose to put my faith in You. You have reached down and pulled me up at my lowest, darkest point in my life and pulled me up to be with You. Thank you for blessing me with my children, my husband, my family, and friends. Please use me to help others. Help me to make disciples. Father please bless each and every person here. Whisper to them to let them know You are with them. Let us lay our burdens at the cross because Jesus died for us to save us. Thank you for this day God and today I choose happiness.
