Latrine cleaning course was pretty rigorous honestly. I heard the Army is actually going to authorize a badge for it in the shape of a toilet. Imagine someone has that with a star above it.

They should. Toilets can be challenging. I went at basic at Ft. Bliss, it's been awhile. I was assistant platoon guide. Had to get up every hour and make sure the fireguard was switched out. I was late once. Bad move. Our barracks were H shaped with the latrine in the middle. I had to low crawl from one side to the other without the toilets seeing me. Turns out that isn't possible. I never slept again.

First would be the underwater Navigation course 2nd would be the Free Fall instructor. Learning to do Halo was not really that bad, the biggest problem I had was later on in life mentally preparing myself to actually deploy the shute, I have never felt so free or more at peace during a Halo, we all die if that's a fact and I figured this would be a pretty good way to go.

@esteban1487 more around 130 to 138 mph, I don't think you'd ever feel that but aside from mental abuse toward humans, going out feeling free, unburdened and slightly euphoric, not a bad way to go. Honestly it's really hard to explain unless you've experienced it,no shade.

Often the hardest part of a military school is getting into it. None are exceptionally hard, but they can all be challenging in their own way. For me it was language school, doubly so because they issued an evaluation report for personnel of my rank. If you fail scuba, Ranger, Halo, there is no bad paper that follows you, not so for language school.

88 November school was brutal. Painful. Eye rolling. Poke yourself in the eyes with a pencil dumb. If I could quit I would. Five weeks of Transportation Movement Request (TMR’s) and World Port System (WPS). Later I became 11A, later I graduated JFKSWC. Cool Army stuff was fun. TC-AIMS, carbon copies and legal sheets of paper almost killed me. Years later a static line injury almost killed me but 88N school (Fort Eustis, VA) almost killed me first. 27 plus years of Army, nothing as hard as 88N school. If you know you know.

All the shit I did, Ranger School, LRSLC, Pathfinder, Airborne, 300F1(Medical portion of 18D), 91A(medic back then) 11B AIT(lol) and thousands of lame instructor courses from tracking to radio stuff by far 300F1 was the hardest, not because it was physically demanding(not in the slightest) but because you had to study and study a lot. Extremely difficult for a guy that has no patience for it.
@CheyannaTrujillo
@CheyannaTrujillo 5 часов назад
You're not kidding. I was always the smartest at every military school I attended until the 300F1 course. I was just in the middle of the herd. Most Army schools look like half a football on a graph when measuring level of difficulty. That school was like a rocket ship. Goat Lab was the hardest though. Records and Reports was a month long and that was like Ranger School on top of the Doctor Level medicine. The class before mine had a guy kicked out because he caught ORIF, a herpes found in caprines, and beat up his wife because he throught she was cheating on him. All the muscle I built up at Ft. Sam started atrophying away because I was afraid to eat or piss. When I first started Goat Lab, I was pretty buffed. We were inprocessing a new herd and I was taking two goats down to the lower pen by dragging them by their horns. One of the instructors remarked that, "It looks like those goats are kicking our ass, Sgt T". To which my smart ass self remarked, "I don't think there is anything on this compound that could kick my ass". He waited until the end of Records and Reports to tell me, "We know it's not your fault, your instructor missed a few things but we're going to let you recycle...." I went off. I was looking to mete out some punishment. Finally he laughed and asked, "Do you still think there is nothing on this compound that can kick your ass?"

@@CheyannaTrujillo the kicker is most schools give you multiple retests or don’t even have a pass or fail requirement, You get certified just by attending. 300F1 was so strict when I went(94) that if you failed a test(and I did a few times) you had to go to a board and plead for your life.
@CheyannaTrujillo
@CheyannaTrujillo 5 часов назад
@@VictoryOrValhalla14 I was there in 89-90. I failed a test to try and get to the 18C course. I was told, "we know what you're doing, and if you do it, ....hope you like Kimshee". I ended up graduating with 11 other 18Ds. Not all the brainiacs could do it, when they were under a stop watch or on the hands on testing. I think all but one of us were prior 11Cs (mortars).

Easiest way to think of it. Going to HALO teaches YOU how to jump. The instructor course teaches you how to be the teacher. You have to learn how to handle dangerous situations that jumpers get themselves into, e.g. his example of a student that physically gets away from you and you have to fight to get back with them.

@Mr_Clean
@Mr_Clean 4 дня назад
Freefall is like skydiving. You jump out of the airplane and you watch your altimeter and you pull your parachute at a certain height. Static line is when you hook up to a cord inside the plane and as soon as you jump out it opens your parachute for you, generally from like 1250 ft

@@sobtactical I recently saw your interview with SRS John! Not trying to kiss you ass but you are funny AF it’s cool to finally hear your story. Im sure you know Tom satterly. I reached out to him when he told the story about getting saddam and first thing he does is credit the support unit 4iD for saddams capture. Well It was my old unit that he handed over to us. I was in HS during the capture but the funny thing is that’s one of the questions that is asked at my E5 board. “Our unit was the one that got saddam.” Reached out to Tom for a grad school project thinking he won’t reply. Quick response n willing, shame I never got to because our fellow vets at usc would have love it. I wanted to help network him with our Trojan network because it’s huge and would definitely help his non profit get way more exposure.
