Aron and I found ourselves chasing some of the toughest fighting fish from the shallowest water on a recent trip north. Spangled emperor pound for pound pull harder than nearly anything else we have caught. Few fish caught, few lost but an exciting time fishing.
I have since identified the unknown Emperor as a Yellow Finned Emperor and at 55cm its about as big as they get.

Fished Ningaloo many years ago before they closed off the free camping. I'd go out in the morning in my tinny and belt out gold twistys for Spango's. The bigger ones I called the bessa block of the ocean! My little 11foot tinny would have it's bow pulled around by them!

hi mate i don't like sharing spots to much just general areas. shark bay is a hard place to fish but can hold some great things if you put into the time. tides are key and moving water is a big help.
