Yes, you are right. I have seen a lot of singing contests here and abroad and I must say, TNT is the hardest singing competition ever. Imagine competing against hundreds of hopefuls and you need to sing a total of 25 songs to be the winner. Aside from that, the competition itself lasts for almost a year. Hardest and longest singing competition on TV.
@Efra, kumikinang-kinang means glowing up, glittering, shines. So in the verse: Oh, kay gandang pagmasdan ang iyong mga mata. Kumikinang-kinang, 'di ko maintindihan.... it means: "what a beautiful sight it is to look into your eyes. The way they sparkle, I cannot fathom." So, to your question, if you can say it to a girl, maybe not, but when contextualized, then, yes. And I mean, when someone you admire looks in your eyes, I guess you don't need to contextualize much though, right?
I don't know if you guys have caught on, but TNT is a *daily segment* on It's Showtime. Usually, there are three contestants each day from Monday to Friday, and weekly finals are held on the Saturday. I think after the pandemic started the daily contestants are now down to two, so you could imagine weekly there are already 10-15 contestants competing. So out of those 10-15 weekly, sometimes you do get the meh ones or the bad ones. There have been one episode, FYI, that all three contestants were gonged. I think it was either Jaya or Louie that was the head judge that week (the head judge who calls on the gong rotates depending on who's currently present). This show really attracts a large, diverse pool of Filipino singers from all walks of life. As you guys know sometimes they hold a Kids version, and on some occasions they also hold the Celebrity version.
Salamat po, efra and waleska! Marko Rudio as I watched him going to semifinals, he has been performing live and tattooist before part of TNT. Check out his other performances of Marko. He's great and I fell in love with his voice. More of him, dudz. Thanks.
Fun fact about joining TNT, the contestants are required to submit 10 tagalog songs and 10 english songs. Its the staff who will decide what song you will be singing in the 20 songs you submitted. Once you win in the afternoon, you cant go back to the hotel since you will have a band rehearsal after the show. Then another rehearsal on the day before the final show and so on.
Oh.. they what!? They must submit 20 songs in total for the audition?!! that alone?! Just knew about this now, wow. Damn we filipinos are some amaizing creatures lmao. Thanks for the info.
@@jean6361 yes and if you are lucky, you will sing daily except Sunday . Maximum win is 10 wins. Imagine if you sing everyday and practice rehearsal everyday. The stress in yhe voice and mental health collides. So most of the contestants experienced lost in their voice in their 6th-10th wins. Then if you are not lucky, if you are the last one to qualify for quarterfinals today, if u win today, tomorrow is the quarterfinals. No time to prepare. Quarterfinals is a 7day long competition.
i think this is fine since it builds up more familiarity and no time to process everything.. you are just there to compete and all in your mind is about practicing, nailing everything and WINNING! if i was given time to let things sink, it might go over my head and then id start getting nervous about EVERYTHING.. including my competitors..
Aside from your objective reactions and effort in getting to know artists, you two are well-loved by most Filipinos who watch rvs. I myself is amazed at how much you know about OPM- songs and singers alike. Thank you so much. 💙💙💙
The gong was actually used a lot. I believe there was this one episode where all contestants were gong-ed! If i remember is right it was Jaya who gong-ed everyone!!!
If you only knw whats the meaning of what Marko's singing....gosshhh everytime I watched that performance dude he's singing his heart out...what a heartfelt rendition 😢
I wish both of them could watch tawag ng tanghalan live as a audience or maybe one of them will be invited by the Tawag ng tanghalan as a judge since both of them know and love music. Godbless u both. ❤ from one of your supporter here in the Philippines
Marko Rudio Fan's Club Marko Rudio Soul Rocker's Marko Rudio Lovers praying for your success and may God continue to shower you with abundant blessings because you deserve the world. We're truly blessed to have you in our lives. We love you Marko Godreic Rudio!
Tawag ng Tanghalan is literally translated as "Call of the Stage". Marko Rubio is already in the Grand Finals and waiting for it. Rayven, on the other hand lost in her 4th day as defending champion (fans says due to fatigue) and was not qualified to continue with the competion. However, there is this RESBAK or wild card part of the competition. In this song, it is actually the weekly finals already. during the daily wildcard she won singing What Kind of Fool Am I (please react on this). after the Ultimate Resbak (Ultimate Wildcard) round next week one will proceed and meet the others together with Marko in the grand finals. I really agree that this is not if the is one of the hardest singing competition. You need to qualify for a long and rigourous audition process then won over 2 or 3 other contestants who are already great, then if you win, you will need to challenge and win over the defending champion. As the defending champion, you need 5 wins to qualify for the semi finals (a defending champion can win upto 10 times and become a hall of famer, Elaine Duran did this). In the semis, you are 5-6 or more semifinalists with atleast 5 wins under each belt will have to sing for 6 days with different motif, and only 2 gets straight to grand finals. There is also a Wild card round for deserving artists. If you have time please react on Mariko Ledesma's Green Green Grass of Home and Satisfaction; Antonette Tismo's Ikaw ay Ako; Arabelle Dela Cruz's Run to You; Jalle Salazar's The Last Time; Gidget Dela Lana's Didnt we almost have it all and every Rachelle Gabreza's Songs. there are alot but I recommend these
Hi Waleska and Efra, i really luv watching you both, everytime you do some reaction videos, specially on our fellow Filipino singers🤗, and yes MARKO RUDIO is a great singer, everytime i heard or watch his version of "IKAW LANG" oh my god my heart wants to come out😍😍, everytime his onstage,it seems like his not into a competition,he's like performing in front of many people, thank you thank you Waleska and Efra, for doing this reaction videos of him😘😘😘
It is amazing that you know almost all amazing singers in the Philippines. hoping somwday, you visit the Philippines and be amazed by the talent we can offer.
14:31 I think that Filipino chose to be on the hardest singing competition because as we know 90% of Filipino sings and 85% of them is literally a great singers, so they tend to sort and chose the best among the best of the filipino singers.
Nyoy is a contraction of the name Niño (the last syllable) and then added the "y" sound. This is one of the ways you give a nickname or shorten an honorific in the Philippines. Niño -> Nyo (ño) -> Nyoy Manuela -> Ela -> Elay (my tita ^^) Hermano -> Mano -> Manoy Hermana -> Mana -> Manay
Hi Waleska and Efra! Please react to Alamat's mini album "Pagsulong"! This album has MVs for tracks like Aswang, ILY ILY, and Say U Love Me (which you have reacted to already). Looking forward to your reactions, thanks!
My favorite TNT contender in S6 is Marko Rudio. I hope he will win on the grand showdown. Currently, they are on the quarter 3 of S6 now and maybe in early 2023, we'll have a new TNT champion. Please react to Magnet by BGYO. Thanks Efra and Waleska.
