Jake, at my wedding I was concerned that doing a first look would make it less special when my wife walks down the aisle… but it was just as special, and I cried all over again! The main thing that makes it special is the significance of the moment, which isn’t duplicated by the first look.
1:27:00 Jake we did a first look and I LOVED it. I really enjoyed having a private moment for the first time he saw me instead of it being in front of everyone. He still got emotional when I went down the aisle. Highly recommend doing a first look and photos before... We also did a personal dismissal for everyone from the ceremony (row at a time) instead of a receiving line or awkward staged dismissal, and took 15 min by ourselves before going next door to the reception. I'm so glad I had those two moments of just us because the rest was sooooo busy
So cool to see y’all bring an opportunity for listeners to actually build real community. I think my husband and I might cramp the “Vibe” at 39 and 40, but can’t wait to hear how it goes.
Yay! I’m so excited you read my review- it’s Pittsburgh Kaitlin! And I may have thrown that yinz in there to see if you’d notice… and of course you did! It only slips out once in a while… 😅 Great episode as always!! I laughed out loud in my car alone a LOT today 😂
Shout out, Scott, for Mo Tab and CTR - thanks for the well-placed cultural lingo, and for believing in the turkey in “turkey trot” which brought the best laughing moment I’ve seen on this podcast. Jake, magicians who employ comedy - Nate Bargatze’s dad. He is hilarious! Brad, just love your personality - from the double guzzle to the “it’s ok to cry when you connect with God.” Much love to all of you!
I love the trip idea, what sold me was getting to choose if you wanted to just chill or be doing something the whole time, and not feeling like you have to be involved in all the activities going on. That gave me such a great feeling about it 🥰
As a runner, during many races I've ran, many hard runs I've had in training, the same thing happens to me like Jake was talking about. I somehow feel more energized when I'm like 80-90% finished with the run. It's just a mental thing about being almost done and your body realizes that you have more energy left (when you feel tired earlier in the race it's because of mentally how long you have left), so your body speeds up to use that energy before the race ends. Edit: Runners high is when you feel good after some sort of intense exercise. Also Scott 1 mile is probably not long enough (unless you're absolutely going all out) to get you a runners high.
There was so much I wanted to comment on and I was dealing with accounting problems! Thank you all for the good laughs... totally have to rewatch and listen, like I do weekly! Yins is a thing my Dad says and he is from Texas and been in Oklahoma his adult life so a word I have heard and called my whole life. So yins have a good day now! HAHA I am not an older black southern woman yet, I will let that generation keep it!
Before I even start watching I want to say. I just watched Jake's reel on Instagram. At first I thought he's suprising Rachel with another house, then I was like the promise house looks different and finally after watching it several times I thought that is the cutest idea ever. I love it, looks so cozy and comfy 🥰🤩
The cut at the end from the jingle is just genius and hilarious and so perfect. Best episode yet! Can’t wait for GRFL!! And slightly disappointed Green Lumber didn’t get their respective send off in the guillotine league…. but it’s ok we’ve moved on. LOVE THIS PODCAST!!
I heard someone call the MoTab choir the Tab Cats 😂 (tabernacle choir at temple square). Love Scott’s story about the alcohol. This episode was great. Brad was on one today.
What a great episode! Was cracking up at Scott’s Hibachi story! My daughter loves Hibachi, so we went there to celebrate the end of the school year. My mom is similar to Scott and has never had a sip of alcohol in her whole life! Our Chef was hilarious, but kept trying to force her to have a drink of Sake, and she just kept saying “no no” & he kept thinking she was joking with him. 🤷🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️ So I don’t know what it is about the Hibachi chefs that like to push the liquor! 🤣
