The AI seems to be under the no paratroopers handicap. Maybe there will be an attempt to fix that handicap when Hearts of Iron 5 or 6 comes out some year.
Imagine being a regular civilian in this world. Some random French colony becomes independent and within 12 years the entire world is united under their rule.

Dude, @1:32 puppeting them and then using their own divisions to deploy and then converting is such a high IQ play. I didn't think you'd be able to deploy until you got your core back.

The moment you declare war France automatically takes the province. I don't know why but in some runs I capped immedietly, in some other runs I capped after a while or I didn't cap at all

In this case go communist and join the Soviet faction and declare war on Chinese Warlords. Soviets are generally not interested in taking land from China. So you can still cheese the game.
@@JavaVT not sure, but I've played games as fascist Peru, and it's said I'm too far away then, so I'm guessing that north Africa isn't too far, but once you get further than that it starts to become a problem
Paradox should really fix the portraits. North african states should not have black generals. And the russijan far east should not have east asian leaders.

im just starting with hoi4, i was playing as iran and conquered the whole middle east (i have less than 100 hours of playtime) and then got crushed by usa czechoslovakia and france :(
I did Slovenia. U can release it as italy right away. But they hvae no generals or advisors. Hats off for iron man. Id never even think on playing withouth saves. Even yugo. Its too hard
