Peniel has actually been helping btob alot since their debut, especially with International Melodies. His english tweets, translations and updates on schedules. Really helped us alot. Not forgetting his own Peniel videos he did years ago and his POV channel now. I really thank him for still being so humble and wanting to do more

I think what Minhyuk said was really important. A few other idols have touched upon the issue of them working too much and being under constant stress and experiencing feelings of loneliness and discomfort because everybody around them leads "normal" lives and think the idols' lives are really grand and glamorous and earn them lots of money, when in reality, most of us wouldn't survive a week as an idol and only the really popular and big groups can make a living from singing and dancing. I hope more celebrities will speak about this in the future so that the industry can change a bit.

I love how caring and attentive Minhyuk is. He is so concerned, he notices things no one pays attention to, he listenes to everything the boys say, he keeps translating for Peniel during their japanese interviews cause he doesn't want him to feel left out. And Sungjae keeps hugging him and bringing into the group hug whenever Peniel stays behind. ALL of the BTOB boys care for Peniel, love and support him so much that he had the courage to speak up. I am not a fan but I have mad respect for him. I love how kpop idols are coming out more and more and letting the fans know about their struggles (physical and mental). I hope this helps some fans break the disillusion that they have for idol and start seeing kpop idols as humans and artists.

After the tragic event of Shinee's Jonghyun's death, I hope BTOB'S manager is showing care and support to these guys! And the managers of all the other groups!!

Was i the only that was concerned over eunwoo as well... No offense to Peniel's situation and the members explaining how it is for btob (i was still so touched by how he openly shared his situatuon) i couldn't help but notice how eunwoo kept dropping his head low in thought. Im sure him and the rest of astro know the exact feeling btob was describing. Life isnt easy and glamorous as it seems for idols. It looked like all the stuff minhyuk was mentioning was hitting home for eunwoo. Especially since astro is considered still a bit new im positive he had a lot of thoughts he wish he couldve shared too.. /: my poor babies... i wish all idol groups the best so they dont have to bear through so many of these struggles by themselves.

I'm not going to lie, even as a Melody, I always thought that maybe, just maybe Peniel didn't get along with the members, or that the members excluded him at times. This episode really opened up my eyes and showed me that despite all the bantering they do, the members have always been by his side and tried to help him through his tough times. This is also the first time I've seen Peniel so happy and liberated. I'm happy he has his members with him, and I'm glad he feels as if they're family

This is why NO groups/bands/soloist deserved to be called “lazy” or to be bashed. We as fans should not be shamming other groups or hate them. It’s very important to respect each and everyone of them because they really work hard to be successful. While we are sleeping soundly, they are awake and practice really hard. All of them deserved to be appreciated and respected.

The boy from Astro is making me more sad, his head hanged low when they started talking about the hardships and not having money, and as a rookie I think he might've felt connected to their words. I'm happy for Peniel and I hope fans and him realize he's a vital part to BTOB

I dont know BTOB very well but all i have to say is that Peniel is my favourite member and he is an absolutely beautiful person, inside and out. Whether it made it on news headline, got judged by media or praised, he is someone who i will always look up to. the way that eunwoo kept dropping his head made me want to cry. When i first saw this episode 4 years ago, I didn't catch it, but now rewatching it, I caught it. It was subtle, but I can tell it hit home for him. People always doubted astro and eunwoo himself. Saying that he'll never be seen as a true idol and only as an actor. They discredit all if the years he trained to be an idol and his singing abilities. He may not be the best, but he's continuously trying his best at being an idol. I love him and I hope people realize that he isn't just a pretty face. He has many talents other than just acting. And he genuinely loves being in astro. Anyways, I love both ASTRO & BTOB sm. It hurts seeing them hurt like this. Being an idol is a paradox. You make a living off of making people feel better. And yet, it is a very lonely job to have. I wish the best for these idols.

I don't really know this group but after watching weekly idol then this. This group is really amazing at heart. They are definitely a group to stan.

I could feel Minhyuk's surprise when Peniel said he felt the happiest to receive compliments from his members. "Compliments from us mean nothing." In a sense, their compliments mean nothing since it's the public's opinion that matters A LOT. But receiving compliments from his friends gives him a reassurance of being valued and appreciated, which I'm glad the members do. :) I like that the manager was cool about letting Peniel date. That's a basic freedom everyone should have, and it's not fair for idol groups to have restrictions on their love lives. Even if not in love, it shouldn't hurt to make friends with people from other idol groups - it's a lonely and stressful career; having friends could really contribute to releasing stress. :/

I think more idols should come up and share their stories hardships with others like him, its high time that the idol industry's norms change. It was heartening to see him freely expressing his thoughts on their stressful life. And as truly said by Minhyuk only few idol groups get to earn big amounts, and the competition is so tough that even artists with good skills can't make it big as per their potential. They seriously need to be acknowledged and appreciated more.

My first thought when watching 6:15 is how happy I am for Peniel. He was worrying about what he could do to promote the group and now years later he's opened up BTOB to a whole new audience/fan base due to being on Eric Nams channel and his social media presence internationally! That's how I discovered BTOB bc I saw Peniel in some of the podcasts! And I'm so glad I did!

😭 I actually feel really bad for liking kpop, since the industry is really harsh and the idols in general go through excessive stress and hardships. Especially nowadays, it feels like appearance matters much more than talent, which is awful. This causes even more stress to the existing stress which comes from the killer schedules and possible loneliness and drifting apart with friends ,like said here. Also there is the fact there are so *many* groups fighting for the fans' love and attention. I wouldn't want to support this madness but I love kpop and my groups so much.. I just want them and every idol to be happy with their lives and what they do! In the end it's their choice to become an idol, but still. I wish the industry wouldn't be SO raw. BTOB, I love you so, so much! ♡ It was wonderful to hear what Minhyuk said about Peniel how the groups opinions shouldn't make such a difference to him and that fans shouldn't view him differently. How they hugged Peniel or so after their mini performance, it's incredibly lovely that they're a real family and support each other. ♡ Melodies will also always be here! ♡

Society has to realize these idols are normal people as well!! They go to school, practice everyday for hours at end, and still manage to put a smile on. I applaud all idols (boys/girls) They work their asses off harder then most people and still don't get paid as much as they should. It hurts to see my Peniel like that but I'm happy he's not embarrassed or ashamed about it. To see his smile when they all started dancing made me cry, just to see the bond they have!! I'm so so so glad they opened up about this, people need to know what idols go through, a lot of people think it's very easy and they're rich and everything is handed to them. I feel like the manager isn't getting enough credit. Most managers barely let idols be themselves behind closed doors and make them change their personalities but he just let's BTOB live their own lives. I feel like if more managers had this mindset we would see better performances and happier idols

And fans still fight on comment sections and forums. All of them worked hard. All of them trained for years. Sacrificing education, family time, health just to debut. Theres absolutely no need to compare or gloat to other people. You can be proud of them sure but dont belittle other artists.

Hyunsik's body language at Peniel got me Emotional, he might doesn't say anything but he cares a lot. And thank to MinHyuk who always got a Chance for Peniel to speak up at their few interviews. And Eunkwang's warm heart just on another level. Right from the start I fall into their Talent, BTOB has many good singers in the group, then after knowing them I fall into their Great Personalities.

Reasons why BTOB should be more known. They really all have a heart for their work and friends. I think the way Peniel said to promote BTOB was difficult. I believe that's one of the reasons he started his POV channel. He really does love his work, but hearing that his manager was a tad tough and false assumptions were made on him, that's really sad. I love Peniel and I'm super new to BTOB, as well. I could tell already he was a kindhearted man.

I know Peniel only from ASC and it was quite obvious that he did not fit into the cultural mould well (he was adorable though). I thought he shaved his head for the heck of it. I didn't know his situation was so bad. I'm glad he has opened up about it. The idol industry has never looked glamorous to me. It makes me question what kind of friends these guys have if they're so inconsiderate because it's obvious that they take no interest in their lives.

I remember seeing this episode when it first popped into RU-vid, I kind of teared up a bit (sorry, kind of an emotional person) knowing that he has been going through all this stuff. Someone mentioned it before but I did think for a bit that maybe he didn’t have the best relationship with the members (most foreign members, as far as I know, feel a culture shock and maybe he wasn’t used to it yet) but that never escalated from that. I always knew they loved Peniel. I remember Changsub mentioning that they dropped the plan of enlisting together because Peniel isn’t going to enlist so they decided to not enlist together so that some of the members could stay with him. Ugh I’m an emotional wreck

Actually felt like I was going to cry when Minhyuk hugged Peniel and rubbed his head after they finished dancing, like he was telling him he was proud of him and to keep his head up. What a good relationship the members have with eachother 💖

I didn’t know btob when I watched this program, I was just curios because all idols seems to be so perfect and watching paniel being so brave and open about his issues and the members being so supportive and funny about it made me curios about the group and after some researches I can now call myself a melody. This guys are so genuine, there aren’t many kpop groups like btob and they also have some of the best vocals in the industry .. basically stan talent stan btob 💙

I'm ARMY..but BTOB is so underrated. Out of my 24 years as a KPOP fan... I've only seen 2 groups whom I thought could actually sing. TVXQ and BTOB. These btob kids can sing and it's too bad that cube isn't doing shit for them. They are also the nicest kids around. I remember seeing somewhere the members said that they didn't make any money as btob but Sunjae was kind enough to share his earnings from his dramas with them. That's 7 members....
