Everyone forgets that it’s really just been a really hard 2 weeks for Five. Everyone else got a 1-3 years in between the 2019 apocalypse, but as SOON as Five dropped he was getting to work.
Ben and Five being done with their siblings shenanigans are some of my favorite things. Sidenote:number five doesn't have a name like the rest of them huh
I know right they've got like them getting super annoyed with each other at some points but them like there are scenes where you can really tell they love each other and all grew up together I love them all some fun
Klaus: the gay cousin/ crackhead Ben: pure/ seen Shit Diego: psycho Luther: idiot (at times) but also teachers pet Allison: smart/ caring Vanya: the "youngest" (aka left out)
I relate to Vanya, she is the sibling that doesn't argue or cause problems, but internally has so much built up, while maintaining an outward peace most of the time.
Also can we take a moment to think about how vanya was probably think she had so average family when she was looking for them. Then she got... well you know.. that
If there is one thing that The Umbrella Academy season 2 got right is actually showing them as siblings. I feel like in season 1 (I didn’t know this at the time) I feel like they didn’t really show them as siblings more like strangers that are forced to be together to save the world.
Well, I always thought that that was the point. Like in the season one when they first met on their dad's funeral after a lot of years apart they really were like strangers that were forced to save the world as you said. But all things that have happened in season one: the return of Five, the apocalypse, becoming superheroes that are meant to save the world as Reginald always wanted them to be, working together to stop all this sh*t. I just think all of this reminded them of their childhood, good and bad things they went through together before getting apart, it reminded them what is like to have crazy (but loved, anyway) siblings, or family at all. And that's why in season two they seem closer to each other than in season one. Such development of their bond and relationships does really warm my heart. Amazing Show
They were pretty much strangers for 16 years🤷🏻♀️.. it's not surprising that they would act like that towards each other. They also said that the S2 would be focusing on their relationship as siblings/family.
J Lyka Bito Yeah it’s not surprising but they didn’t have to show that in season 2 be mostly about their sibling relationship that’s what I was saying that it was really great that they did that. And I didn’t hear that they said season 2 was going to mostly about their sibling relationship so I was surprised.
Plus, Klaus and Allison said they thought everyone else was dead, and the rest of their siblings probably thought the same thing. Once they found each other again, it makes sense they would appreciate each other a bit more.
Kchill_ 03 it kinda reminds me of that scene from Parks and Recreation where they are trying 2 find out who broke the coffee maker and are all blaming each other. I imagine Five being the 1 who actually broke it xD
It's literally so hard to make siblings dynamics work in fiction because siblings are such a weird and unpredictable relationship. But yeah. The UA writers got were spot fucking on
What I love about the show is that it accurately portrays how siblings really are. A lot of movies/shows give characters a sibling(s) to be more of a decorative character trait as opposed to it being a relationship that _makes_ a character they way they are. The show properly captures how siblings behave around one another and how they interact with one another; it isn’t something you can define and replicate over and over again. Because the way you act with a sibling is totally random a lot of times.
@@glam5062 :(( while I don’t have super shitty siblings my parents are the shitty ones. So I understand not always relating to representations of families
Seeing ben who described as kind and patient and wholesome mad because klaus called him he's like reginald said a lot about their dad's parenting skills.
You forgot the Öga för Öga scene when Luther and Diego were using their last brain cells together and called that poor old woman to threaten her and then Five came and told them about the Swedes.
I’m curious to know if that was a reference to the comics. Because in the comic story line when Luther falls into a depression he eats his feelings and actually gets fat. The only reason they didn’t make Luther get fat in the show is because they didn’t want to look like they were copying Endgame with fat Thor.
lmfao 5:04 is their personalities is 10 seconds luther: annoyed but trying his best to help and hide it klaus: annoying diego: being problematic alison: being unproblematic vanya: struggling
I think my fav scene in this entire vid is when Klaus Allison and Vanya are at the salon and there like "come're vanya" and she gets up all bouncy! It's so fricking cute I love her 😍 4:40
Proof yet again that you do not need to be blood related to be siblings. Oh, they are definantly siblings through and through. I'm getting flashbacks just watching this.
Klaus and Alison have the best relationship of all of them. They care for each other more then the others they are the only pair of siblings that are actually friends. When the sit in protests happen and Klaus freaks out and goes to save her.
0:35 I would be luther, saying that about my siblings, because who wouldn't say that about their siblings, 'it's understandable, they are a lot to handle'
that scene with luther and lila makes me laugh so hard. “that’s understandable, diego can be a lot to handle..” it really shows how despite him arguing w his brother 24/7, he’s still going to protect him as much as he can.
Five: Allison can rumor anyone to do anything. Diego: Except she never uses it. Allison: I heard a rumor... you punch yourself in the face Me to Diego: Why are you hitting yourself? Why are you hitting yourself?
