Love my 2018 Fatbob 🤌 feels like a tank on wheels. I will say they are a bit industrial in a way but the Fatbob in particular feels like a leap forward compared to the typical Harley you might have in mind. It’s certainly a bike that evokes a feeling in comparison to some other types of bikes loaded with technology.

The Fat Bob is a brilliant bike, quite similar to the Low Rider S when ot comes to handling which is on the good end of the Harley spectrum and i love the punch you get when you twist the throttle. This was a good one Mr Dobbs.

I was actually the first owner in the UK of the 2018 Harley Fatbob, and I still am. Love this beasty. Nothing yet has tempted me to change it for another bike. Now you say its being discontinued makes me want to keep it more. It handles brilliantly on the road and is very forgiving. All I will say is its a shame that Monika doesn't have the sissy bar which makes a huge difference for the pillion 😉🙏

Hi Freddie. i had the 2019 Fat bob 114. what a difference in price. then it was £16100, so it has gone up by £3k. i must admit i loved it. i had a stage one put on it and new exhaust. a fairing and cruise control. my issue was the cost of servicing it was expensive. i also had a Tiger900 gt pro and ended up riding the tiger more, so it was pointless keeping it. Brilliant bike though and a joy to ride. after an hour though you did need to get off and get the feeling back in you backside and legs.

I've never been a HD fan. A big part of it is that they just don't make a "standard" bike with mid controls and neutral bar position. Like, why do they never throw their lazy air cooled V twin in something akin to a standard modern classic like the Bonneville? The engine has a decent aesthetic that would probably appeal to a lot of people shopping in that market, but I think the typical loungechair clamshell stance on the HD just puts a lot of people off (although this one has more standard bar reach as you say. Still has the feet forward position though).

I just can't unsee how that handlebar looks exactly like the ones they sell at my local mountainbike shop. But yea they've stoped selling the fatbob. They stoped the sportster too. and they had a pres conference where they were pushing for the bloody trike as their intended segment for the future! Spite made a few videos on the subject last year. They are making some very strange decissions.

It's really a shame that MoCo is discontinuing it. I was on a 117 c.u.i. version hoped. But let us surprise ourselves. I've been driving mine since 2018 and changed the tires to Metzeler. If you drive on wet roads, the Dunlop are very slippery. The kickstand should be viewed with caution. Not that your bike falls over. The mirror arms are too short. Longer ones have to be done. A quickly changeable luggage rack is recommended. I also changed the silencer and camshaft because I wanted more power (J&H + Stage II torque cam). Now 44,000 kilometers and drive back and forth in Andalusia and Germany :) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-4Gc9vn-h0Jw.htmlsi=W1TlI-jIojCapOVZ

The reason the mudguard is chopped is because it’s a Bobber, hence the name ‘Bob’. Bobbers became popular after WW2 when bikers began using military surplus bikes to create individual bikes. Money was short, hence why the Bobbers were minimalist eg. Cutting a mudguard into two, to make a front and rear mudguard. If only HD kept their modern machines simple as the drop off driver suggested. The over the top electrical BCM system means most independent mechanics can’t work on them and they are prone to catastrophic failure. Trust me, I’ve got 2 HDs - a 2013 sportster and a 2015 street bob. The street bob has been off the road for almost a year and has cost thousands chasing electrical faults including a new BCM. The sportster, despite being considered an entry level HD, is much more simple and reliable. However I won’t be buying another HD. Which I believe is becoming a massive problem for HD as their current sales are in poor shape. And when sales go down, quality goes down. Which seems to have been a recurring theme for the last 10 years or so

Freddie it’s the same as the sport glide, discontinued in the U.S. some years ago but still available for European market (as they’ve moved production to Thailand) My guess is, same as the Sport Glide we will still have this model for years to come. Why HD decided to move production to Thailand for the European market and eastern world is beyond me. No probs with build quality etc but it’s an American bike you expect to be American built. I’m guessing the import taxes for the U.S. market now with the bikes being built outside the U.S. is the real reason they’re stopping these (and the Sport Glide) there?

I just got my first murder cycle buddy . And I got the 2023 fat bob .idk that it’s a first time riders bike .but I pay the extra and learn how to ride it I have . It’s awesome and it will only do 119 it’s governed. Smh I did 119 today had nothing else time to take the restrictions off my bike .it’s up to me how fast I want to go .

Also, 1988 was the year that the prototype of the soft tail fat boy was introduced. Maybe it's last ditch effort was the European market in whatever year... Nah yeah nah... It's a great bike to wash and admire in the driveway or garage... Just don't ask it to turn or handle or just about do anything else that motorcycles do. But that's the marketing strategy for Harley Davidson in the end after all. I thought that OCC kinda exposed that but... Here we are.

Good-looking bike, great bars, clock etc., but H-D have had problems with all these new bikes. I'd much rather have a Rocket 3 R. Nick

Aesthetically, I'm not usually a big fan of Harleys, also not a huge fan of the sound normally. Although I still wouldn't get one myself, this model is really good looking and sounds great too. Personally I think I'll never get away from the practicality, reliability and efficiency of Japanese bikes. Specifically hondas for some reason.

I was put off Harleys by a friend who has one. It's unreliable, very expensive on servicing and parts (that take forever to arrive), and the service from dealers appeared to be abysmal. All in all an expensive exercise just for a badge. They're not exactly cheap to buy either. I think very few people are buying into the Harley brand anymore, and certainly not those new to biking. No wonder it's dying on its feet.

Overall I like this motorcycle although Harley Davidson is not my cup of tea! The only thing I absolutely hate about this bike is the absolutely horrible exhaust system, wtf is that!

Got 2010 fat bob bought new I must like it cause I feel I never want to part with it completely different than your model I don’t surprise me it’s been discontinued as I believe there’s a trend to Dynas & FXR S which Iam assuming twin shocks are in fashion, Iam sure your that you will make it your hog but please don’t give the corporate shill they come strangled and sound like a kitten farting in the wind ,but Iam sure know that cause no doubt you know bikes glad your happy mate way too much disappointment these days suits you

Great looking bike, I'm not a huge fan of the big touring style Harleys, but this one is awesome. Have any Roberts took offence of the "Fat Bob" name😂
