(That thumbnail though). But on a serious note, this is probably the most competitive playoff grid we’ve seen since the field was expanded to 16 drivers. If you look at the points, these 16 guys are at the top, with very few exceptions. I’m looking forward to this.
the only driver that doesn't have a legit shot at winning is Stenhouse, but he still has the ability to sneak past the first round. If McDowell makes the 2nd round he might be able to make top 4 of he can finish well enough in the Ro8
@@ic3man he's arguably the worst driver on the grid, with arguably the worst equipment. He's not a bad driver but compared to the rest of the cup field, he's easily a high D tier driver
Chastain’s antics last year is actually what got me back to watching the sport again. I hope he gets a little closer to the behavior from last year. The sport needs its guys that play rough and it needs someone that stirs the rest of the field up.
As a Reddick fan I just don't see a deep run happening this year. Between 23XI pit crews, bad strategy calls, and the occasional driver error, the team's been so inconsistent. I really hope I'm wrong, but I think he's a second round exit.
Stat to keep in mind, since they’ve added stages to NASCAR, no one has made the final 4 in Cup with less than 200 stage points earned over the course of the full season. 1/5/11/19/20/24/45 are the 7 who have either hit 200 already or are averaging enough stage points per race to hit 200 before the finale. Although the 1 & 20 are only barely hitting that metric.
RFK Racing is coming on strong to start the Playoffs this year and this means that Roush is Back! I really think Buescher has a chance to go all the way.
The scary thing is how consistently you see those two cars in front and how equal they are. I wouldn't be shocked to see both the 6 and 17 in the final 4
First off-love the thumbnail. Second-this playoff field is so evenly matched, that it’s a coin flip for who could be in our out in almost all the rounds. Not sure if anyone is going to be right this year
He kept it close, but not quite enough to move on. JTG Daugherty should pat themselves on the back religiously, perhaps the greatest turnaround for a team in the modern era.
I don't miss Chastain doing dumb moves at times, but the reason Chastain is my favorite driver is that he doesn't seem like you can really rattle his cage. I want that Chastain back. The one who will take risks because they are worth it and because only he can do it. I hope we get that Chastain back.
Since I got your Video "Sponsors in Racing" in my Recommended I have watched every single New Video on your Channel. You are one of the best Nascar Content Creators out there.
3/4 isn't bad, sucks to see Harvick exit due to SHR being garbage though. Having him say it was the worst experience with a fender in the center of Bristol is absolute hell
Greetings, and a personal, POSITIVE message to you EllyProductions! I'm going to keep this short, since I can go on and on, but your production skills, videos, and channel all together are top notch. I'm glad to see another NASCAR based content producer and you do a great job of it (with much laughter added). You are comparable to others such as Emplemon and S1apsh0es, and I just subscribed to your channel as well, after finding some videos of yours. Keep it up, I'll be watching 👍 P.S. your predictions seem to be going down the shitter 😁
The 1 thing I absolutely did not see coming in 2023... the Busch brothers redemption arc. I mean literally I wasn't surprised by anything that's happened this year more then both the Busch brothers being loudly cheered for... good to see them get the respect for the talent they had/have as they reach old age in the sport.
@@insertcolorherehawk3761you mean owners standings? Here are my changes. Round of 12: 5 eliminated from Owners Round of 8: 9 joins 17, 6 and 22 in elimination. 8 makes final 4. Final 4: 8 car finishes 4th in standings
To think that you predicted Harvick will make it to the Round of 12 winless is a testament to him and how bad Stewart-Haas has become. But then again the Playoffs always give you something so I expect Harvick to have one last win that might keep him on the Round of 8 contention
I honestly think Keselowski is quietly due for the final 4. He's run consistently at the front of the field, and consistency takes you far in the playoffs.
As a Blaney fan, the last 12 races have been rough. Only 3 top 10s, and 5 finishes outside the top 30. Tbh, I don’t really see him going far in the playoffs this year.
Very interesting thumbnail. “Will the real Kyle please stand up?” It’s been an odd year for Kyle. He got those 2 wins early in the year and since then he’s been on a downward spiral. I’ll be honest. Going into this year I initially thought with Kyle Busch Ok. You got completely sabotaged by Gibbs, you’re going to a new team in RCR, and this’ll be a fresh start for you. But to come out of the gate like he did winning the second race and showing race winning pace in AN RCR CAR is something no one expected. Happy for him after last year. “At least he won.” For Blaney you’re not wrong. 😂 Stewart Haas has been ass this year. No other way to put it.
What you said about you Truex fans and us Blaney was spot on lol. Blaney's always gonna be my favorite driver as long as he's in the sport, and for now, he's still just about the only good, likeable part of Penske's whole NASCAR operation. I'd be VERY surprised if he wins the championship, but I'm not ever gonna stop being his fan. Never ever. Truex on the other hand, I think is looking really good this season. I think he's got a real shot at taking home this whole championship. I don't know exactly whose gonna win it, but if I were a betting man, I'd have to go with him, KB, Buescher or *maybe* Byron. Great video as always. Can't wait to see if your playoff predictions will be as good as your season opening predictions 😉🤣
I have extreme bias but I feel like everyone is counting out Stenhouse too easily. He had top-13 finishes in both Kansas and Darlington this year and Bristol is one of his best tracks. I feel like he can easily advance if they show that same speed again, especially if other playoffs drivers have issues. Also in 2017 when he made the playoffs everyone was counting him out in the first round, but he advanced to the second. I think that could happen this year too.
My predictions I commented under your video are coming along nicely somehow - A Hendrick car will miss the Playoffs (48 or 24). True. - Kyle Busch will win more than once. True. - AJ Allmendinger will win on an oval. Not yet. - A Front Row Motorsports car will start on the front row (McDowell at a road course). Does finishing up front count? - Stenhouse will win Dirt Bristol and, even riskier prediction, will NOT get wrecked in at least one superspeedway race. Riskier part true. - Jimmie Johnson will get a top 10. Let's wait. - Ty Gibbs will disappoint and start a rivalry with William Byron of all people. Well he's out of the playoffs, rivalry will come soon. - Hamlin and Chastain will either fight or make out in the infield grass. Does a thumbnail count? Cause damn. - Harvick will make the final 4 after the top 2 wreck out at Martinsville. If I were you I'd be betting my house on this. - Bubba Wallace will win the Daytona 500. Hmm. The space between the lines means it will happen next year.
Here's my own predictions; Round of 16: WINNERS: Darlington: Todd Gilliland Kansas: Daniel Suarez Bristol: Chase Elliott ELIMINATED: 16th: Ricky Stenhouse, Jr. 15th: Ryan Blaney 14th: Kevin Harvick 13th: Brad Keselowski Round of 12: WINNERS: Texas: Christopher Bell [ADVANCES] Talladega: Ty Gibbs Charlotte Roval: Alex Bowman ELIMINATED: 12th: Michael McDowell 11th: Joey Logano 10th: Bubba Wallace 9th: Kyle Larson Round of 8: WINNERS: Las Vegas: Kyle Busch [ADVANCES] Homestead: Bubba Wallace Martinsville: Ryan Preece ELIMINATED: 8th: Tyler Reddick 7th: Chris Buescher 6th: William Byron 5th: Christopher Bell Championship 4: WINNER: Phoenix: Kevin Harvick CHAMPIONSHIP RESULTS: 1st: Martin Truex, Jr. 2nd: Kyle Busch 3rd: Ross Chastain 4th: Denny Hamlin [DNF]

RU-vid NASCAR channel that I watch his friend on discord said that we need to lock up Blayney I'm pretty sure the reason why is because well he nearly killed Ryan Newman in the 2020 date on a 500 and when I was watching that race I thought I would never see something top the Austin Dillon crash at Daytona just a few years before
