To be fair on Belichick's criticism of Maye, coach was doing inside-baseball type critical film reviews of _all_ the first round picks, and specifically noted that all the QB's have something to work on. I think that people have taken his comments out of context a bit simply because of the past with the Pats, but the actual criticisms (and praise) he offered seemed pretty reasonable IMO.

Apparently, Arthur Blank was the one who wanted to draft Penix. I get that you don't want to have another Desmond Ridder situation since Taylor Heinicke is your backup or future when Cousins leaves. But you had 2 great edge rushers right there. You haven't had a decent edge rusher since John Abraham. If this pick doesn't work out, Falcons fans may have to go the Washington route of demanding the owner to sell the team.

My Broncos’ draft was actually underrated. We got our QB, even if we got him a little high. But we also got gems in Troy Franklin, Jonah Elliss, and Audric Estimé. I’m actually optimistic that we won’t be hot garbage this year, but we’ll certainly be warm garbage

I have a feeling this draft is gonna change the value on drafting quarterbacks early without at least letting them sit a year. I feel like maybe 1 is gonna be worth the pick. The rest are gonna be terrible or just mid.

However look at Jimbo Fisher guys Christian Ponder, EJ Manuel and Kellen Mond (a 3rd round pick but ONE career NFL game 3 years in and a fringe roster guy now). Will Drake Maye break the Curse of Mack Brown? Maybe, but I'm not expecting a CJ Stroud-esque turnaround myself
