There is a legendary western movie titled "Shane" [1953]. In the film, a wealthy land developer wants to take over land that a settlement of "squatters" has property rights to. The land developer cannot rid the land of the squatters legally, because the land isn't his. So he results to violence (what could be called "terrorism") to scare the squatters off the land. But a lone gunman rides into the plain and sides with the squatters. The gunman (Shane) emboldens the squatters to start fighting back. What is happening in Gaza and the West Bank today is essentially the story of Shane. The Palestinians are the squatters, and the Israeli Jewish settlers are the wealthy land developer.
