the headlights didn't work on my garden tractor when I got it. I thought I had diagnosed it, and we will get these things working just not in the method I thought.
Thanks for this video. I've got an LA135 that will be going down the road here eventually (getting replaced by a 318) and wanted to get the headlights working before I listed it.
this happens to most models of john deere , it`s a known issue . i have an old lx 277 and it happened quickly . a lot of people who feel inclined to just tinker run a hot wire and a switch . grounded to frame. just my 2 cents.
Does anyone know if there is a headlight kit I need to buy to fix the broken headlight and dangling wires on our LT150 after an accidental front smash-up last year? We replaced the plastic bumper with no problem, while there was luckily no hood damage. Just can't figure out how to replace and repair the broken headlight system. Refuse to call the dealer and want to do it ourselves. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much!
Trying to track down a no start situation. Its been sitting a year or so. The headlight plug was melted so I unplugged it. The mower didn't turnover after. It will start if I jump the solenoid with a screwdriver. I'm not sure if it's the switch, the solenoid or something to do with the headlight wiring.
@@jeffsutton2806 get yourself a cheap test light from Walmart or Harbor freight & see if power is getting to the starter & work your way back. If it's not jumping from the solenoid then it could be the switch.
All the ones I have had had an on position and one that shows a headlight icon on the switch. One off position, two on positions and one of the on positions turns on the head lights.
@@GlennsSpeedShop ok, I figured it out. You turn the key 🗝️ on all the way, then rotate the key back one notch to activate the lights. I originally thought if I movers the key backwards the unit would turn off 📴.
