I had those dolls in the 80s, and the house, car, cousins, and furniture sets!! I still have some of the pieces. Soo many hours of fun! I dont remember the mom having such frizzy hair though. 🩷🩷🩷🩷
Awww the heart family so cute! I had three different families from my childhood, this basic one, kisses and cuddle and the surprise party. Now I'm restoring all of them. Btw I find moms very cute with a sweet face, and ofc they have very light make up, they are moms not singers, divas etc. 😜 And her clothing it's not victorian (during victorian era there weren't bright and light colors, this came later in edwardian era) but very classic 80's clothing for middle class ladies. I'm so glad these days other ppl like this cute dolls of my childhood and I'm sure you will enjoy em a lot, especially the beauty of the sweet mom! ❤️ P.S. but nobody says a thing about the pink necktie with heart of the dad? 😂 P.P.S. all parents of my three sets have wedding rings, they are just a bit discolored by time but I'll re colore them with a bit of gold paint, I think in your dolls wedding ring have discolored like mines by the time, or kids removed em if your dolls are second hand.
As a kid, I only had the Surprise Party set and they were hand-me-downs from my older sisters. I don’t recall saying I didn’t like the face-that’s among my favorite face molds actually! She does have a sweet look to her. I find it interesting that they seemed to give her more makeup and dress less modestly as the line went on tho! Lol I know they aren’t actually Victorian, but compared to what Barbie was wearing, it may as well have been! lol. 99% of my dolls are new in box so these were not played with. There is no fading of the paint or anything, they just weren’t given rings. 🤷🏼♂️ I don’t intend on changing it as that’s how they were made originally and I tend to not alter my dolls.
I don't have any of the Heart Family dolls in my collection, I may get them sometime depending on the price. They had a lot of play pieces like a house, car, camper, bicycle, dog, stroller, high chair, crib, change table, playground, and fashion sets.
Back when these dolls came out, I was really not a fan. Compared to the sleek and glamorous Barbie dolls of the same time period, The Heart Family was conservative and boring to me. Naturally I have tremendous nostalgia and appreciation for them now, but even back then I always loved the AA versions better. The AA Mom of course uses the Steffie face, and I collected a couple examples back when they came out. I have the Disneyland set, and the birthday party set with the yellow dresses. Super cute dolls, and your videos really make me want more of them. :)
LOL. Don't tell me the Heart Family was living in "sin"; having no wedding ring. I bought the Heart Family for my daughter when she was young and remember she loved them. I never really noticed that a wedding ring was missing from the mom and dad! Very funny and very observant! I really enjoy your videos, but I really LOVE your hair and make-up!
It's so strange they dun have wedding rings cuz all my three moms and dads have them, just a bit discolore by time but still there, and even the heart family of my friend had wedding rings. Or maybe if the dolls are second hand pre owned kids can have removed em. But no problem, u can fix it with a bit of golden paint and like new! 😊
She looks like a televangelist . You can indeed fix that hair with WD40- It just takes afew days to air out the funny smell. Spritz it on - comb through -towel off excess and air out ..outside.
