Was an unwed mom. Gave up my little daughter, 3 days old. The hardest thing I've ever done, gone through. 35 years later, I know she is saved, happily married, super educated and a mom herself to 2 little boys. Not a reunion yet, I do pray for that. I just know through her social media how she is.
You're a brave strong woman who didn't back down from what she needed to do... And you gave and because you gave, life was poured out. And you gave, that reminds me of someone..
Reach out to her and pour love into her let her know you never stopped looking out for her you was overseeing from a distance and you did what you did out of love and protection 💗 first pray she hear you and then pour with God. Blessings 🙏🏽💗
Praying someday you can….it’s been great for my two adopted children to know their birth families in some way….tho my son wanted me to cancel the meet up with his uncle his moms twin cause he was REALLY NERVOUS….but the uncle came for dinner and it was a great visit and my so. Was VERY happy he met his uncle!! ❤️
Wow! Can't wait for this one. Our daughter got pregnant at 16 and placed her son for adoption.. He sought our family when he turned 18. What a wonderful, brilliant young man we have for a bonus grandson!
As a huge fan of the Kendrick Brothers I can't wait to see this one. My mom and dad divorced when I was like 2. My mom remarried when I was 5 and a few yrs later he adopted me.
It's great to see good quality movies like this getting a theatrical release, hope people show up to the cinema, a stable and loving family environment is crucial to prevent crime and hatred in society.
Raphael Ruggero is an incredible actor. He is playful and sincere, he understands physicality and comedy, and he brings emotionality and subtlety to his performances. Expect Raphael to charm audiences of all ages onscreen - he won't disappoint! That guy has a God-given gift. He brings the best energy on screen! Raphael embodies the most relatable and loveable characters - and brings their stories to life by walking in their shoes. It's a treat to watch this guy create art! HIGHLY recommend going out to the theater for this one!!
I believe that this movie will hit home with me. I am a product of an affair..my birth mother chose the loving option and put me up for adoption 51 years ago. From information I've gathered over the years...the affair did cost my birth mother her marriage. I've tried many different avenues to try and locate my birth mother, but have been unsuccessful. If I were ever to meet her in person, I will give the biggest hug and thank her for giving me life.
Have you ever done DNA testing with Ancestry (or another big company)? That's how I found my family, from a second cousin match and getting clues from that and eventually finding my mom.
Could not be more proud of the work all of you (and especially my friend Raph!) have poured into this movie. I'm so excited to see it in theaters, and I'm praying for the ways God will use the testimony of this story to impact so many lives!
This looks like another fabulous Kendrick Brothers movie. I am really looking forward to seeing it. These guys have done awesome things for the Kingdom!
Just saw this movie. Great. Well acted. And the message...so powerful. We need a powerful alternative Hollywood movie making community to keep making more movies like this....and soon.
Just saw this movie. I relate with the one playing kirk cameron’s wife (I won’t spoil her name). I’m unable to conceive, but my hubby and I have become open to adopting when the time is right.☺️ Thanks for this movie.
I’ve wanted to adopt since I was 5 years old and first heard about adoption. I’m 46 today. My husband and I have become licensed foster parents, but after fostering for a short period it’s clear to us that’s not the path God wants for us. I’ve been told by the adoption expert at our center for resource families that we would be overlooked as adoptive parents because we already have “too many children.” We have 9 biological children. We still have room in our hearts and everything else from finances to our home for more, but I’ve been diagnosed as “secondarily infertile” by my doctor. Last night was the fist day of our final class to be adoptive parents through the state foster system and other programs. I chickened out and didn’t go. I feel like nobody will choose us to adopt. My heart is broken.
Don’t give up…believe in the miracle…what a gift you bring to a child as a large family…so many to love and support- keep going! I adopted my second right around your age, and every day I am grateful.
I like the Kendrick Brothers movies, even though they get a bit far-fetched (EG, Coach Grant getting EVERYTHING he prayed for), but their last movie, Show Me The Father was 10/10 in my book. Considering that this is a true story, I hope this is on level of SMTF. I'm very excited for their 8th movie! :) How would you guys rank their movies? I'd go: 1. Show Me The Father. 2. Overcomer. 3. Courageous. 4. Facing The Giants. 5. Flywheel. 6. Fireproof. 7. War Room.
Beautiful film it will bless a lot of people with a clear message pro life ❤ I would have wished they could have included more moments with prayer and Bible verses 😢 don't know...just saying...
That's why you have to be completely honest with your adopted children and set realistic expectations. Don't make the bio parents out to be superheros if they aren't, and don't make them villains if they aren't. My daughter has never met her bio dad, and likely never will. She's 10 now, adopted when she was 5. She knows all about her bio dad and his struggles. When and if that time comes that she decides to seek him out, I want her fully prepared for the meeting, and to know that she will always have me irregardless.
This movie will not stop women of getting abortions. See I have been in an abortion clinics to pray for the women who have them because who am I to judge. If I was raped, yes I will have that abortion. If I was a married woman pregnant at age of 60 - 70 years of age no one including the doctors could make me get an abortion.
That means you are pro-choice. Being against abortion, except in cases of rape and incest, is being pro-choice and not anti-abortion. It's for abortion.
