Charlie is yellow, if you play back the rain scene you can see Charlie in yellow pajama’s. Nick if blue because he was wearing a blue sweatshirt. Also a small detail, the umbrella in the rain scene had blue and yellow on it ;) Hope this cleared up on the confusion of the blue and yellow!

I just watched your entire S1 of HS and it was easily the most enjoyable reaction series I've watched for the show (and I watched a LOT of them). As an 'older' gay person you were so correct in your observation of what this means to younger people. I wish I had this when I was growing up as it would have made me feel less isolated. The first time I watched the series it was actually a little depressing because if made me realize how much I missed out at that age (it's a common reaction apparently with older viewers). i cried the first time i watched season 2 so your not alone

Have been loving your reactions to Heartstopper after finding your Young Royals reactions. It’s nice to see such enthusiastic allies. I feel so much for Charlie (& the whole cast) because they weather a lot of bullying & other situations, but the show is still mostly bright & cheerful. You can find your found family & your people. But it is hard. I was bullied since kindergarten (called a girl by all the boys & some of the girls) & then it morphed into the F slut by 4th / 5th grade, before I even really knew about myself. Thankfully it calmed down once I made better friends in 7th & 8th grade…. But the worst bullying was really from my family (mostly an aunt) & my church… but in a very roundabout way. They taught me to hate myself, my body, my desires, before I ever fully realized them. & it still is something I’m recovering from & realizing ways it which it hurt me. Most of my family & I are better… but my one aunt who manipulated me into going to her church still thinks Im just “blaming her” & she’s only “sorry I feel that way” which is just very frustrating when no one in my family sticks up for me (at least in front of me). She cares about my soul but hates my “sin.”

It's explained better in the books, but Charlie had a *really* bad time the year before because he got outed and bullied pretty severely. That's why his sister and dad, his teachers and friends are so protective of him. Also, Nick feels guilty because now that knows Charlie, he realizes how bad the bullying really was, and feels responsible for his friends being so shitty to him. Again, they cover it more in the books, but he does have a bit of a moral injury/identity crisis, wondering why he didn't intervene before, and if he's not a good person because he chose to stay friends with such terrible people, and would he care about it if he didn't like Charlie?
