I made a set of MU cars using the MTH trolley motor . The thing ran great ! then it didn’t . I have no idea why it runs so poorly now and I’m not that type of mechanic to take the motor apart . Actually it’s the putting it back together correctly that has me reluctant to attempt.
Nice find! That car will make a great looking interurban indeed! Hope you'll start with it soon but I'm aware on how many project you allready work on 😂 Like the goose as well. Interesting to follow that build. No clue about the trolley motors though...
Yeah, what's going on right now has got me distracted from Empire Building. I bought a drive for a Post War 51, it's a 2-4-2 diesel switcher . I think this might be a very good conversion from 0 to standard. I intend to take off the lead and trailing truck and cut the frame back to the base of the motor. We'll see how well this works. For 25 bucks, I'm not out anything but my time.
