My view on Samekh is that essentially it's a tree. Thorn tree, palm tree, bush, 'The Vine,' messiah etc. Pictographic = side profile Modern = top down view. Trunk = pillar, support. You often see Samekh described as meaning... Piller Column Prop Support Help Surround Protect Then Jeff Benner for example is big on the idea a Thorn bush is protection due to Surrounding sheep in a coral. He then goes on to say the Thorn aspect links Samekh to meaning... Grab Hate Twist Turn Because that is something thorns do, grab, snag etc. So Hate vs Protect seems contradictiry at 1st yet more study has mafe me conclude all Hebrew letters have positive and minus nuances. Thorns are types of Bushes or Trees....plants essentially. Thus TREE. Now Trees have Trunks thus the Pillar or Column meaning. Combine with Twist or Turn you get the idea of a tree moving in the wind. Combine that with the idea of the Column you get a twisting turning column that grabs things. = Tornado, vortex. Think of Exodus, Pillar of cloud or fire. Personally I think it may have been one of Elohim's chariots (ufo style) but even if purely supernatural or even natural point remains there was a column of some description that was 'Hating' Egyptians and simultaniously 'Protecting / Supporting 'the Israelites. Look at a Hypersphere / toroidal field. I believe that's the basic common visual of Samekh. Has the trunk in middle and essentially same shape as a tree with branches n roots splaying around it. The Menora is a tree too. Messiah said he is the Vine.....a vine is a tree or bush. He was crucified to Help us. Was on a Tree, Steak, Cross (take your pick) I think possibly he carried a stick/stauros, wood beam n it was joined to a tree and he joined to it at hands and by his feet on tree thus making a cross. 2 sticks of Ephraim n Judah joined together as one. Prophetic pic. Crown of thorns = tree. Our bone structure with ribs (branches) is a Samekh too, as is a Ships Mast, Plyon, Plant Supports etc. All Tree visuals like the ancient samekh. A tree Supports life and Surrounds it. Think of how many creatures live in them n get food (Support) from them. Look at Dendrutic Structures in nature = tree. Could go on forever!
