This is the original 1961 45-rpm record of "The Heel", performed by June Carter (later June Carter Cash). This song was recorded during June's "Rock and Roll Years", which she fondly recalled later in one of her songs. Hope you enjoy it!
This is a great record. Back in the day, it received a lot of airplay on the local stations. At the time, little did I realize that the singer was also the same June Carter who was one of the regulars on WSM's Grand Ole Opry !
