Close-quarters combat, urban warfare or simply street fighting − the art of conducting combat in cities and urban areas have a notorious history, from battlegrounds like Stalingrad, Grozny, Fallujah and Hue. In Ukraine the fighting in Mariupol and Azovstal can now be added to that list.
