C'mon.... Since when Trent plays drums, I mean real drums - not drum machines? And since when Trent can play lead guitar? And be great on both. No comparision. Trent is good, but not to Nicke greatness.
FORGET THE BLACK CROWES OR GREEN DAY OR WEEZER OR THE FOO FIGHTERS OR PEARL JAM OR BAD RELIGION: THE HELLACOPTERS ARE ONE OF THE HIGH ENERGY GARAGE PUNK ROCK BANDS FROM THE 2000'S . BRING THEM BACK IN 2020
I’m not going to forget most of those bands. I remember the first time I heard the Hellacopters on a “Terrorizer” magazine cd insert. This had to be close to 20 years ago. No doubt they’re good, but I honestly don’t think they’ve made one solid enough record to match any one of those bands you listed. I’m also not a fan of two of those bands. I think the Hellacopters could compile a double record of their best tunes and it would be brilliant.
All those bands you mentioned were 90s bands or before. I was listening to Bad Religion in the 80s. Just saying…lol. Not to mention, this is really a different sub genre of rock and roll. But that’s semantics I suppose.
I was 16 when „Supershitty to the Max“ was out...the copters introduced me to so much stuff, from Vinyl collecting to Detroit Rock...thanks for all that Inspiration und cool music all over the years🤟🏻
Nice to see this band still rocking it straight out of the garage. Always loved 'em. For those moaners bitching about the mix, tough ears, you weren't there and you're whining about it while watching it for free. Rockpalast Rocks!!! Thanks for the post. HELLACOPTERS Mother Plonkers!!! Yup
Brought me through my 20s. Unforgettable nights listening live those days! The most important rock band in the early 2000´s. Maybe Rock `n`Roll really was really dead without them. ;-)
When a show start with a songl like "Hopeless case..." you, as a member of the audience know in your heart that you are in one of those night, not a just a regular rock concert...
They're HUGE, Nicke and Dregen together again is a killer thing! Thank you for this, RP! Best RnR band in Europe. "Paiyn The Dues" still their best album ever, IMO.

Hmm, I dunno, I’ve been a guitar player for 35 years and saw Hellacopters in NYC just this year - DEF needs more guitars, LOTS more guitars in the mix!!!
One of my love band since around "96" - and yes !! Im a Swede to🤘🤙💀🎉💥 hell fucking yeeeh !!!! Keep on the dirty rock'n roll folks- whish they could play forever 💥🤘💪 And ever and ever and...
Wow - love this band I have only recently started listening to their music, awesome live! By The Grace Of God and Tab are my favourites so far - Try the band Earthless for guitar
These guys have been around for a while. Damn Hard ass working band. Pure rock and roll 🎸. I remember reading about them in Guitar mags I subscribed too. Thats how long they been kicking rock and roll ass. Go Guys👍
@@gregsmith7949 the tour I saw they were opening for the Supersuckers. Then I saw them after Grande Rock came out with Murder City Devils and the Yo-yos.
That song isn't even available on a "regular" Hellacopters album. In keeping with their long history of recording/releasing songs in unlikely places (B-sides, split singles, vinyl-only tracks, artist tributes, and so forth), the studio "My Mephisophelean Creed" is only on a 2016 vinyl-only single--which at the time, was their first newly-recorded release in 8 years.
Great band! I saw them in Porto Alegre/Brasil in 2003. After Sepultura and Deep Purple. Sensational night with my brother Carlo, that in 2019 died. I'll never forget!
@@zirbel Pretty much anything :D "Hopeless Case Of A Kid in Denial", "Gotta get some action Now!", "Toys and flavors", "No Song Unheard"... The older stuff is a bit more raw sounding, the latter stuff more polished. Take your pick! Great band! Don't forget to check out the other bands with Nicke, Dregen and Co, like Imperial State Electric, Backyard Babies and Lucifer.
@@glenc741 Dregs was originally a Hellacopters before he left to do Backyard Babies and those tours with Michael Monroe. So you could say he came back.
For those that dig this I highly recommend The Datsuns albums. I absolutely love everything except their latest album. Hopefully it will grow on me. Death Rattle Boogie is prob my fav. Hard won.
Oh come on Rockpalast! You're one of the best and you can do a mix MUCH better than this. I attended this very gig (which sounded great) and you had a much better sounding video on the Rockpalast site.until recently. So WTF happened here??
About the mix. Lots of complaints. I would guess many people are listening on headphones. Bass heavy a bit but if you are listening on a pair of Beats it will really be accentuated. Beats are really heavily weighted to the low end. How do the drums sound? the kick and toms? Not bad IMHO. I am hearing this on a stereo where a little EQ makes this sound Hellacopters badass. I recommend for all you headphones listeners out there get a more flat studio headphone. I myself like AKG. I do agree that the person on the board is asleep at the wheel when NICKY DOES A SOLO! other soloist is much more clear
All the scandinavian Punk‘n‘Roll Band‘s save this Schweinerock thing!!!…but the Hellacopters Play this matchless High Energy Rock‘n‘Roll at ist’s best for over 25 Years. Respekt the real Rock and don‘t forget the Kings of Rock : Gluecifer
Luckily there are other Hellacopters vids out there with better mixes. It's still great that they are back out there and doing it again. I am also grateful that European festivals stream these things live even if the mixes aren't always perfect.
