PC Gamers are livid about having to make a PlayStation Network Account in order to play the hit game Helldivers 2. There is so much to discuss about this situation that i couldn't even get to in this video. Are you going to make an account or request a refund on steam?

PlayStation 5/5/2024 - 9:30PM PST: Helldivers fans -- we've heard your feedback on the Helldivers 2 account linking update. The May 6 update, which would have required Steam and PlayStation Network account linking for new players and for current players beginning May 30, will not be moving forward. We're still learning what is best for PC players and your feedback has been invaluable. Thanks again for your continued support of Helldivers 2 and we'll keep you updated on future plans. There is still hope Helldivers! Do not give up on Sweet Liberty just yet!

You forgot a couple of crucial points. 1. It's still blocked from purchase in all regions except the 69 that can create a PSN account. That tells me that Sony hasn't really backed down. They will try to enforce this later on. 2. In som regions you either need to submit to a facial scan or give them a copy of your driver's license to create an account - so a data leak with that kind of data would be much worse than any "normal" data leak.

Solid take imo. Really laid out the main positions, I’m on console (literally bought a ps5 solely to play Helldivers) so I couldn’t care less. Aside from the people who cannot make a psn account I really think this is just a load of over dramatic rage bait. See you on the front lines brother!
