What you said about Harbaugh and McDermott is 100% correct. I been saying that for the longest when it comes to Lamar and Josh they are Great players , but they need an offense mind coach they can get them outta situations . Patrick mahomes have the luxury of Andy Reid that can do that.
@@JWLSports - I wouldn’t mind this being the second coming of Air Coryell, some great offense from the Chargers back then - though Chargers fans I’m sure hope Harbaugh-Herbert will do better than Coryell-Fouts.
Honestly ....I agree about the defensive head coaches....kind of hard to make the connection between QB and HC when it's not the coaches offense that the QB is running. Shanahan and Purdy should definitely be on the list.
Cowherd is rage baiting like he often does. He's purposefully leaving Brock and Shanahan off the list so people engage. I almost think he made this entire segment just for that purpose honestly.
it feels like he weighted the QB more than the coach here. with vague lists like these, I always wish the person would clarify how exactly their rating everything.
Yeah honestly I think it’s so hard to evaluate that list on the fly. It does feel no matter how average one thinks Purdy is, him and Shanahan have to be up there.
Colin is the smartest moron making bank continuously wrong. I'm a die hard lifetime, born and bred Packer fan. I think the sky is the limit for them. However to put almost anyone other than the Kansas City duo ahead of Shanahan and Purdy is absurd. Until Purdy plays bad and seems everyone has been waiting for two years for some reason, who has out performed them? Purdy has great weapons but seems to me Rodgers had Jennings,Driver,Nelson and Jones to start his career.
Wouldn’t the best/most logical way to do this just be to take the individual ranks of the coaches and QB, add them together? A #3 coach with a #13 QB would get 16 points and be ranked lower than a #6 QB with a #8 coach getting 14 points. That just seems logical.
I honestly believe he was trolling to get views.. there’s no way you put Herbert/Harbaugh and Allen/McDermott over Love/Lafleur and Hurts/Sirianni. Harbaugh hasn’t played a game and we didn’t even know if they’ll be good yet. Hurts has thrived under Sirianni and made it to the Super Bowl although last year was ruined by injuries. Lafleur did a great job getting Love ready and in my opinion should’ve won coach of the year for that last year.
@@JWLSports it’s just insane. I was with for the first two hahahaha and I’m high on Harbaugh and Herbert but, to not even have Purdy and Kyle is just out there. Especially, when you have Goff and Campbell on there, where Campbell doesn’t call plays and Colin says “they have won their division in back to back years”
Purdy is 21-6 including the NFC championship game he was injured in. He’s thrown more TDs and the fewest INTs in the NFL since he took over in that Miami game in 2022. Shanahan is one of the best coaches in the league. You have to include them on the list. They are better than Dallas and Miami no doubt. It’s a pathetic list.
Isn’t the excuse that people give as to why Purdy is doing so good is because he works so well in the Shanahan system? And since this is a list that is all about how well the qb and coach work together shouldn’t they be at least top 5?
Haha it’s totally a fair point. He for sure deserves to be up there. I think these days they say he’s just a system qb benefiting from a stacked roster.
Were Colin's was wrong, wow. 49ers and Eagles have done more in 2 years than Green Bay, Miami, Lions, bengals, Rams, and Chargers 😳. Like, what are you talking about.
Considering the 49ers and Eagles have 2 of the best rosters in the NFL it's safe to assume he's not giving all the credit to the coach and QB for their accomplishments
@@ChrisH421Dallas has one of the best rosters in football as well. Also, what about Miami? Especially on the offensive side of the ball? Cinny has Chase, Higgins and Mixon
@@travisoshea op didn't mention Dallas and the previous 2 years it's commonly accepted that the best 2 rosters in football are 49ers and Eagles. Bangels and Dolphins are not comparable when talking about the entire team.
@@ChrisH421 on the offensive side of the football Miami and the Bengals are very comparable. Hill and Waddle and Chase and Higgins are probably 1 and 2 in the NFL for WR duos, I’m not even mentioning the RBs and TEa for both teams. Miami and Cinny both have good OL as to where San Fran has the best LT but other than that their OL is very overrated as a whole
I get your reasoning about synergy between the coach and QB1. But here we go again with Purdy. Purdy is the apprentice. He doesn't offer the value and feedback that Mahomes, Stafford, Burrow, Allen provides. Purdy may be there in a few years, but he ain't there yet!! So stop!!!
Purdy elevated the offense the moment he stepped on the field. No one is saying he is elite, but that wasn't what the list was...it has to do with combo of QB and Coach and as soon as Purdy became QB1 Kyle opened up the playbook and called the games more aggressively. He made Shanahan better..... anybody who actually watches the games can recognize that
@@BratatoChip so your one QB is the greatest of all time to prove your point as a non system guy? lol Okay who else other than the BEST EVER to play the position
@@BratatoChip yea but, I’m assuming you are not stupid and using the QB to ever play was the obvious answer. Now you are trying to be coy with “I’m just answering your question” hahaha
