Smash Dev Team: Sr. Sakurai, we made a list of all other spells in the Dragon Quest series, wich one of the should be Hero's Down Special? Sakurai: YES
The point of Final Smashes is that they make your next B press a kill confirm. That doesn't seem to be the case with Command Selection, as you could get bodied while picking a spell.
@@volt3071 True, true. Bounce is basically bestowing the user the Reflect status, being able to bounce off projectiles. However, like all reflecting methods, Bounce has a stamina of 50.0% damage. And Hocus Pocus, well, it's a wild card, so better hope for the best and prepare for the worst.
Hocus Pocus move know so far: 1. Give you other spells (include Kamikazee) randomly at cheap price (4MP except Magic burst). 2. Poison you or lose all of your MP. 3. Make you asleep. 4. Slow down movement. 5. Make you giant or tiny. 6. Invincibility. 7. Invisibility.
As a hero main I can flat-out debunk what you're trying to say he is really easy to use and can easily be picked up so long as you're really good at RNG
His attack’s have just so much start up and end lag that it really is RNG. He also doesn’t have barely any true combos. He just hits hard and hopes to crit. Out playing His power bases moves with parrys and reflects or dodging and countering seems to be the current stratagey seeing as he has so much lag
A really cool reference in hero’s final smash is the perspective of him facing the player and not showing the player’s character being attacked when Hero strikes a reference to the first couple games how the battles were set up
I was reading a comment on Twitter that says Thwack in DQ is comparable to Horn Drill in Pokémon, so it didn't surprise me. It did surprise me that 3 of the spells KOd at 11% though lmao
I CANT BE THE ONLY ONE WHO THINKS THAT THE VOICE LINES SOUND A LOT SIMILAR TO THE FEMALE MII FIGHTERS VOICE OPTION 4? Or 6?! Or maybe some are similar to the male Mii voices..?
this man has another 3 characters worth of moves on his own special alone... Instant main. I wish I could be more excited about dragon quest, or the rest of his moveset tbh
1. Hero swings his sword vigorously before looking away. 2. Hero sticks his electric sword up then spins with it to the ground. 3. Three slimes bounce around as Hero comes up behind them.
Kirby: *Is a puff-ball that can copy moves and swing weapons* Palutena: *is a goddess with versatile edge-guarding, counter, and long-ranged smash attacks* Hero: *Haha, RNG go brrrrr*
3:26 and 4:22 I know I gonna be punish by this but *I’m not a bad slime* memorial words in the Dragon quest series but also immortalized by Rimuru Tempest in Tensei Shitara slime datta ken XD.
I cannot wait for banjo kazooie but Hero was way more hype than I expected because I usually get pissed whenever I lose to my bro but when I lost when we were doing hero dittos I enjoyed myself probably a little too much
I freaking called it that dragon quest haters just taking trash about this character but oh whats this he has a good move set this is one of my favorite characters now 😥
I see why people think Hero is broken, but I can also imagine what Sakurai probably thinks about the matter too. I'm guessing he probably feels that because Hero's down special is mostly at random as the player can't exactly choose what spell to go with in a real competitive scenario that he is rather balanced. Hero is a bit unpredictable and requires timing and skill. Yet, I agree that Hero's down specials, specifically thwak, is really powerful. Some say Hero should be banned, but I think what he needs is a major nerf. Adjust the output damage on the down specials where you can't easily 1 hit KO someone. The only thing I'd buff on down special would be kamikaze to make it seem like a reward if you can manage to KO someone with you, but also give it more of a high risk if you fail.
DLC characters are apparently allowed to break all the Smash Bros universe’s rules and do whatever their own game’s logic dictates. I mean, Joker has 3 victory themes and 18 win screens and Hero has like 15 down specials, and they both have meters. Can’t wait to see what Banjo has.
Honestly I don’t see why people think his down B is OP. It has a good few weaknesses, such as a lot of rng for the spells you end up with, and if you get hit while choosing a spell you can’t use the current list of spells
@@jorgecrespo3640 only sounds broken on paper. In practive it's not often enough to matter one way or the other, same with wack and Thwack actually going off. Furthermore, 100% of his kit can be interrupted by Falco's blaster which has the second least knockback in the game next to Fox's blaster, and if a spell gets interrupted the MP is completely wasted. And no, that's not just my luck, his overall win-loss ratio is already dead even meaning it's actually easier to counter him than be countered by him.
