Oh no the comic is going to kill a child.

This is why I love Wind so much, him forcing the gods to choose him instead of them choosing him is so badass.

Him being the one to die would hurt so much, especially on Wild. Imagine how much guilt he'd take on himself :(

one thing i find strange about the hero of wind is that supossedely he is also fused here with the hero of trains but shows no sign of it which makes sense since the hero of trains is a descendent from him but if you cant tell me he is fused with wind, looks more like the creator just did not want to use spirit tracks.

I wonder if Wild will be expanded upon since he has Tears of the Kingdom and Age of Calamity to work with. That would be very interesting if all the Links showed up at the beginning of Age of Calamity. Wind interacting with the Rito. Or the other Links seeing how the land or it's people have changed. Time visiting the Great Deku Tree. The possibilities are endless.

Well now I'm worried about Wind! Nothing better happen to that boy!

OK. I have three things to say. One, in regards to Wind being in Hyrule warriors, unlike with Time, we don't exactly know where in his timeline it would take place. For all we know, it could be after Linked Universe, so unless they directly acknowledge it in the future I think Wind's presence there is up to interpretation. Two, I don't think Wind is Spirit Tracks Link but might be his ancestor or he'll reincarnate as him (the later seems more likely). His shield was originally his after all before it was passed down to The Hero of Trains and it makes more sense in terms of lore. Three, there's a theory going around that Wind's secret is that he can see ghosts. There isn't much evidence on if this is true in the comic but I feel like it should be acknowledged.

He’s finally here! Performing for you- Ok I’m stopping here. Seriously though, I’m kind of worried about him kicking the bucket, but it makes sense. Worst part is, it would probably hit the hardest for the group.

i coulda sworn the detail of wind not having the heroes spirit was just an interpretation issue? something about jabu asking if he was descended from the hero of time, like twilight is?

Personally, I'm not a fan of Wind being the same Link as Spirit Tracks since he's only about 14 in Linked Universe, and I don't see Tetra ending up in the same situation as Zelda did in ST. I mean, we have to buy that Tetra would not only abandon her original name for a name she doesn't even like but also would let someone so obviously evil into her court. In the game, it makes sense since ST Zelda was kept deliberately naive, so Cole could more easily control her, but with Tetra in that same role, I just don't see it.

A correction : Wind is NOT spirit tracks' Link (let's call him Spirit). The shield that indeed appears in spirit tracks is a reward from a side quest where old Nico gives Spirit the shield that belonged to his old friend who is Wind. So the shield originally belonged to Wind before Nico passed it down to Spirit. Which makes sense since the design on the shield matches that of his shirt, Wind probably chose that design to keep home close in some way.

As always seeing one of your analysis is a joy! Love the video :) I love Wind very very much, he is a little annoying light of joy in the Chain! I, personally, belive that Sprits Tracks is just a reference in Wind, is not his actual adveture even if is part of the character design in some ways (unless Jojo said otherwise and I didn't see the post) Spirits Tracks is an amazing game (the theme rocks) but it's so hard to place in a story like Linked Universe, just because there is the train that is a main mechanic and without it an 'Hero of Spirits' wouldn't be the same. Now I only played Wind Waker, still haven't finished Hourglass, but if I am not wrong: in Hourglass doesn't Link have the power to see ghosts? Now, the adventure is technically a dream, just like Link's awakening, so it is fair to assume that some things just happen in the dream, but what if is just a power of Wind has and just isn't revealed at the moment? It think that we may see Spirits Tracks more as a reference than an actual part of the backstory of Wind. Maybe we will see, for example, one of the Chain suffer the same fate as Zelda in Spirits Tracks, then Wind be a key componet to resolve the situation since he can see ghost (if my theory from before is correct) or he will piece together how to resolve the situation, with the help of Twi (who, I am pretty sure, can see ghosts? Maybe only as a Wolf?) At least, personally, I hope Wind hasn't Spirits Tracks as his adveture (but in the end, obviusly, Jojo can do whatever they want with their comic). The cool thing about Spirits Tracks is that we aren't in Hyrule but in New Hyrule, which was rebulit by Tetra and Wind , the land they were searching for in Hourglass, the future that the King told them about before dissapearing at the bottom of the Ocean. Giving Wind that adveture would, at least for me, take away all the years that him and Tetra put to build a New bright future. This is my totally personal interpretation of the game, I wouldn't be unhappy if somehow Wind learned how to pilot a train (it would be so chaotic to have him driving, and the others half-freaking out, since they never saw a train in their lifes) Anyway, you are right: Wind is going to die or somobody will die for him. It would give everyone the possibility to learn and grow: -Wind could understand that there is nothign wrong with been the yougest and letting others worry for you, that the others trust him but want him to be safe because Wind is kind of the heart of the team at this point -The others could learn to be more careful when protecting him and be less self-sacrificing (something that we got hinted at with Wild, but there wasn't enough maturation on this front in the chapter) My bet is that Wild will die while protecting Wind, there will be a general panic for a while and then Mipha's Grace will bring Wild back (all of this if Wild still has the powers from the Champions) Wind has so many things that link (ah-ah) him to other heros: not actually having a Hyrule like Sky, been a direct descendant to Time (even if not by blood, at least not like Twi and possibly Leg), his shield in Wind Waker is Four's (which means that they may be blood related since it is a family heirloom), a dream adveture like Legend... So many possibility to explore! The fact that Wind doesn't have the Spirit of Courage is also such a good idea, if canon in Linked Universe, it would add so much to all of this, it could also make the other Heros more protective of Wind(because he possibly doesn't have the same divine protection), which could bring to a mortal accident before things get better. Sorry for the long comment, but this webcomic is just at the front in my brain. Once again amazing video! Love your stuff :)

9:57 I see Sky being there as general concern for the youngest, Legend in that he is secretly a softy who doesn’t want to see Wind hurt like he was at his age, and Warriors because he wants to make sure Wind makes it to his era. At least in terms of those highlighted as being overly cautious for him. As for Wild, general overprotective nature that comes with having the Hero’s Spirit

Homd up...(in my opinion)Link from WW HAS the hero's spirit but not at the beginning the hero's spirit is supposed to be earned by doing a heroic deed worthy of the spirit of the hero and trying to pull the master sword,he gained the hero's spirit by overcoming tough challenges and such,in the end it's just a theory...A GAME THEORY

My issue with the Triforce of Courage part: he didn’t exactly choose it. He collected it, yes, but not choose it himself. There’s no evidence he chose it, the KoRL just told him to go and get them after proving his worth in the Tower of the Gods. The Triforce, as it works, split up when Ganondorf touched it in OOT. It was explicit each piece would go to the person which carried each aspect the most. Once Wind had put the Triforce of Courage back together, for all we know, it could’ve gone off to find someone else that held its aspect, but the fact it stayed with Wind shown over the course of Wind Waker, he’s grown into gaining that courage. And he gained that courage all for the sake of his little sister. But I could be completely wrong but this is how I’ve interpreted Wind Waker and keeping to the lore of the series. EDIT: adding this as I just remembered, didn’t the Link in Zelda II also collect pieces of the Triforce of Courage??

i think the wind death flags are a red herring i think time will be the one to die suddenly and he thinks he failed (hero's shade) you might be thinking but he needs to have a kid before he dies but it takes like 9 months before a baby's born if him malon had some "alone time" one of the time the links end up in times time, malon might not even now yet (or she dose and hasn't told him cause she doesn't what him worrying even more

Legend and Twilight stared long and hard at the strange sight. Two parallel metal lines linked by evenly spaced planks of wood running as far as the eye could see in either direction. The thing was clearly man-made but the two swordsmen couldn't make heads or tails of its purpose. Legend: Just when you think you've seen it all. Twilight: No kidding. This world is even more bizarre than we thought. Legend: Let's rejoin the others. Maybe we can find someone in the next town who knows what this... Legend was interrupted by a loud bellow and the sound of machinery that seemed to be getting closer. The two looked behind them to se what looked to them like some sort of metallic beast barreling towards them at incredible speed. Fighting the urge to scream in panic, Legend summoned the power of his Pegasus Boots while Twilight shifted to his far swifter wolf form to flee from the strange monster as fast as their legs could carry them. As they heard the massive beast getting closer, the sound of a horrible screech filled the air. No doubt a cry of triumph from the metal menace before claiming its prey. But, suddenly, the sound grew fainter and seemed to fall further behind them. Against his better judgement, Legend chanced a look over his shoulder and, to his immense shock and relief, saw that the unknown contraption had come to a halt. As he and Twilight slowed to a stop themselves to catch their breath, a hatch opened up on the side of the machine and a _very_ familiar face was suddenly looking at them in concern. Hero of Trains: Hey! You two alright!? Twilight: Uh...yeah. After a moment, the not-stranger took on a far more grim expression. Trains: Don't you idiots have enough sense to stay off the tracks!? Before either could answer, he adopted a more pensive expression. Trains: Have we met? You two look kind of familiar. Legend: Umm...in a sense.

Forgot to subscribe so I missed this upload but isn't his shield the starting shield from phantom hourglass? I thought the one in spirit tracks was just a reference to that shield. This would mean that (I think) the shield being the only reference I see to spirit tracks would mean he might not be a combined hero.

Does the Hero of the Wind really take stuff from Spirit Tracks Link? You mention the shield, but Niko said that shield belonged to the Hero of Winds before Spirit Tracks Link receives it. I just thought Spirit Tracks Link was left out the group because with the other two combined Heroes it is a lot more obvious they are stand ins for multiple Links because of the adventures they said they had. I don't think Wind has ever said anything on the events of Spirit Tracks.
