That makes sense. Minecraft is a kind of bland game in which you have to create everything. So to make it more fun, people tell themselves that random glitches are actually part of a creepy mystery
This video is 4 years old and theres still the same comments correcting the pronunciation of Herobrine, people claiming they saw Herobrine, and people pointing out the lavender town music in this video.
I think we all know that herobrine isn't real. But I think he's real now, within the Minecraft community. There have been mods, adventure maps, texture packs, machinimas, even Easter eggs planted by the minecraft creators. We, the fans, have made him real, he technically, as an urban legend, is and always will be, apart of minecraft. I love herobrine, I think he's really cool, the stories the mini games the mythology, he's one of three figures I love in minecraft: Skeleton, Enderman and Herobrine. He's on my custom minecraft skin too. His epically awesome eyes :-) (the skin on my profile photo is old)
Actually, as much as I enjoy believing in stupid things like this, I know the reason why Herobrine always appears at the edge of the fog. It's actually something Mojang forgot. Minecraft's fog conceals the world beyond a certain point so a computer doesn't have to work as hard to load it in. But due to the way they built the fog in alpha and beta, it needed a marker so it knew where to start, and where to end. They forgot to make a marker, so it used, and I quote, "The least used 2 block texture in the game files" because the fog is thicker on the floor, then it gets thinner as it goes up, so a 2 block tall texture was needed. That texture just happened to be, You guessed it, Steve. But, to cut down on render, it used a low quality version (like low-poly mario in 64) so, the torso was all one shade of cyan, the trousers, all one shade of lapis blue, the boots straight up disappeared. the face was one shade of skin-tone, and the eyes...... well.... 2 blue pixels aren't exactly gonna be missed, are they? TL:DR Herobrine is the marker for where the fog starts, and to make him take up less of your framerate to render, they made him low quality, which included making his eyes white. So, when you increase your render, he moves back, and out of render distance. So technically, Yes, he IS real. Hope this cuts down on all the crappy "100% real sightings (not clickbait)" videos. They really p!ss me off. And probably a lot of other people too.
yeah, he was never real officially, however in the first two versions of the xbox 360 edition, 4j decided to mess with us by allowing tress with no leaves, those pyramids, and the two by two tunnels to spawn, it was removed in patch 3 and as an entity he was never in the game.
I remember wanting to believe it so bad that I just did. One time a friend lost her way in a world so we thought the world was reversed and blamed it on Herobrine. We then proceeded to do a computer exorcism and never touched it again. Then with a different friend, I tried to summon Herobrine. From that point on anything weird that happened on that 360, we blamed on Herobrine. We even blamed him for a red ring of death. Good times.
Hey guys. I think I might as well put this here, seeing as my story is somewhat similar to Herobrine. I was playing Garry's mod one day and, like usual,I was on flatgrass, minding my own business, spawning ragdolls etc. Anyway,I was just messing around when I saw that the arched building in the middle was bigger than usual. I went over to check on it,and I saw that there was a combine wall stuck in the roof. I tried to undo it,but I couldn't,as I hadn't spawned it there. I'm still wondering what could have spawned it.
The closest I ever got to him was while building a base for my quarry... a charged creeper blew up, uncovering him staring at me, and then teleporting away.
Ahh.. i remember this video from way back. It was one of the first minecraft videos i was actually interested in. It gives me a nostalgic feeling of when i first started playing the game. Good times. p.s. herobrine is fake
I never believed in Herobrine being real but loved the mystery and story surrounding him. It was also always fun to blame bugs and glitches on Herobrine. This was especially true for my siblings and I because we started on the Pocket Edition of Minecraft which was SUPER buggy when we were playing it. One time we played in a world together where we kept seeing a Steve with no nametag running around, had items go missing mysteriously, and had structures appear out of nowhere. We all got super paranoid, kept yelling at each other, and erupted into a war where we kept killing each other. We ended up calling the incident World War M! I'm pretty sure it was just a really buggy server since we had experienced the random structures and missing items individually before. I'm sure the random Steve was just a glitch where one of us didn't have our nametag show up. Still, it was fun to blame Herobrine. I know this is like a decade old but sometimes its fun to be nostalgic!
Interesting, last year I have encounters as to what I would call Zombie Herobrin. The figure was like a Zombie, but it was unlike a Zombie. It had no pupils and was frowning. He broke my door within one hit and killed me in two hits. The server was on invite only, but I did not invite anyone. Also, Mars, I liked the song you used in your conclusion, what is it called?
Herobrine is real. I once saw him when i was on xbox live with my friend tyler. He however, did not see him. Herobrine was standing right next to my friend tylers character and followed him for several minutes. We were the only ones in the game and i always have on invite only. This bugged me for a while and i only saw him one more time. The second time i saw him he was inside of a huge cave standing on a spawn cage. This always freaks me out when i decide to play minecraft. I haven't played it in a few months though.
OK HEROBRINE WAS ADDED AS A RAAAAAARE MOB IN XBOX 360 AND REMOVED WITHIN DAYS easy + ive been in a herobrine world! just ,, its was my friends so idk if it was real,.. im very confused
hmmm something LIKE herobrine geez i hope its a boss and you need to go through a portal or summon it like the wither or the enderdragon also i found out that my friend's herobrine world was completely fake im not suprised
wait so the herobrine myth isnt real and majhang said so, but.. they keep saying he's been removd.. so is he fake? or is he real? i guess we'll never know for sure.
i kinda believe in herobrine, why else would majhang keep saying they removed him, they could just be trolling, but theres no proff if hes real or fake, so ill just say hes real,i think hes cool.
psychowolfgirl00 i'm kinda torn on the subject, I believe iv'e seen signs of him (or it I guess) but there are many things that disprove of his existance.
I know not a lot of people will see this, but looking at this from a more symbolical POV, it seems to me like Herobrine is kind of the opposite to Steve (The player). Everything herobrine builds seems like an opposite (in this video). Pyramids in the middle of oceans that are perfect, 2x2 tunnels (while I only make 2X1 mine shafts), and chopping all the leaves off the trees as opposed to the wood which the player uses.
the truth is Herobrine is real. I saw him when I was playing Minecraft. I was working on my house in a world when i saw a strange figure in the distance. i came closer to it and it was steve but with white soul piercing eyes. i heard of Herobrine before i even started playing Minecraft so i knew it was him. i ran away but he kept teleporting to me so i logged out. the next day when i opened Minecraft Herobrine's face was the only thing on the screen. i closed Minecraft and Herobrine's face was where my background was supposed to be. MY BACKGROUND IS FRIKIN CUPCAKES MLP!! i was terrified so i bought a new laptop and bought Minecraft on it. oh and goat simulator
so, you bought a new fucking laptop because your friend possibly downloaded a mod and fucked around with you? well you could say "i have no friends" which is reasonable, but minecraft can't mess around with your desktop background and it seems you like to lie, we all lie but your just a little shit trying to keep this myth alive with no evidence AT ALL. Your a dumbass XD.
he did exist in alpha and a glitch that notch tried to patch it was a virus that somehow got into the game. It's true notch admitted it in an online statement. When notch tried to patch it the game didn't respond and this is all bullshit you just wasted seconds of your life
HeroBrine Is Real!! I Saw Him I Had All Those Signs Even Random Signs Saying You Will Die AND Stuff Some Mobs Had No Eyes All They Had Were White For Eyes Seen His Player Flying, In My House, In Mine Shafts And I Had A Big Statue Of Steve And I Saw HeroBrine Near His Eyes And Changed Them To White Then He Saw Me And Made Lighting Hit Me Hes Real!!
In the early beta, me and some friends created a server and played with some plugins and commands. We found the list of entities to spawn, and we tried all of them. I still remember clearly, that if you typed "/spawn monster", Herobrine would spawn. We ended up having thousands of him everywhere, it was so hillarious and weird at the same time! :D If I remember correctly, it was the 1.6 beta version, which is a few years ago now. Wow, time flies really.
Mojang likes to play with the idea of Herobrine. For example, every time they update the game, at the changelog (complete list of changes made in the game), they put "Herobrine removed" at the bottom
I read on Minecraft Wiki that Herobrine is nowhere in the game's code. However, numerous Herobrine mods have been made. If you see Herobrine or signs of Herobrine, someone could be hacking your Minecraft account and downloading mods to your server.
hes just an legend, someone begun the story, many beliefed it and some trolls started making more storys, so herobrine got more popularity and transformed into an urban legend
I feel like herobrin is some sort of abandoned code. Maybe he was what a villager was meant to look like, and somehow it gets into the game sometimes. But, most likely it just isn't real.
I have experienced many many encounters with herobrine. He is very scary and over powered (in minecraft). I used to go on a server every day. There was a man made village near my factions base. I explored there every day, but one day I had a little surprise, my old friend herobrine had come back from my first encounter from 2012. The server was a non pvp server. So I couldn't hit him but he could hit me. It was very scary the first time. I still swear to see his figure every while, but he's really scary to encounter.
In my opinion, herobrine is notches ode to his dead brother, maybe the brother was a prankster and so notch made up this prank code designed to scare people like his brother used to with his pranks
My best friend has the best evidence yet for herobrine, the following story is exactly what he told me: I was playing on an un-modded single player world back in 1.3.5, after a while I was seeing wierd things trees with no leaves, and floating sand pyramids with 3x3 bases and one block on top, then I saw herobrine, I followed him but he vanished, later on, on the same world herobrine came back and killed me with a diamond sword. His herobrine theory? Herobrine either is or was designed by a hacker, most likely Notch's brother who developed Cobalt, another Mojang game, wanted revenge because everyone was playing minecraft and not cobalt. He was trying the de-popularize minecraft but it backfired and made it more famous.
My god. Crap I was a little kid when I heard about this. It scared the crap out of me. Me and my cousins would play and we would get scared and start looking for him. I would get scared to play minecraft. Good times tho. It was fun. It helps me remember simple times. Watching herobine sightings. It was good safe fun.
Herobrine is real. When I was playing today on superflat I saw some sort of pillar with a weird kind of block in the middle with roses around the bottom. I was on forge with a few mods. After I saw the pillar I instantly quit out and said to myself, "I'm not going to play minecraft untill I figure out if that was a heobrine thing." an I didn't have any herobrine mods.
Herobrine Actually at one point was in the game, it was a pice of remanding code from when players could spawn Steves. That's why sometimes in update it says "-Herobrine removed"
hey ho! did google how to pronounce herobrine, and so far ive only found 1 pronunciation that says herobrine is spelled (Hero-Brin) the rest were saying its pronounced (Hero-Brine) :)
the truth was early in development there was a human mob if you look at the old old updates on the forums it says that human mobs rarely spawn vice herobrine
My theory is that either he's entirely fake, like you say, or he was just a hacker who liked messing with people by hacking into their games. When it says "removed Herobrine", it might just mean that they put better coding in to avoid hacks.
In the updates only the first time the Removed Herobrine meant somthing when Notch tested out the villagers feature(I think it was that) there was a mob that had a default skin running around and basically being a mob.Anyways,in an update when most of the code for that mob was removed Notch decided to mess with the players and put removed herobrine instead of somthing like removed human mob. However the other times Removed Herobrine appeared in the update logs have unknown reasons. (Sorry for long comment)
I think herobrine was a mob at one point but then removed. I think they did that to get publicity from gamers. Another resin why I think mojan made herobrine and not some hacker is because on xbox there is a herobrine skin you can choose.
can you do this theory: In Freddy Fazbear's Pizza.... when a show was about to start, freddy, chica, and bonnie introduced themselves and then after a couple minutes, the show started, they introduced Foxy the pirate fox, when foxy was singing a song a little girl was making fun of him, after a couple seconds, foxy was being possessed and eventually bit the little girl's Frontal Lobe off, foxy went out of order and is still malfunctioning always at night.
It seemed like you were reading a creepypasta, no matter. However I just wanted to tell you that I was attacked by a zombie that had white eyes and was frowning, he had killed me within two hits. When I spawned back he was no where to be found. This was on Xbox 360Edition.
