Okay another thing I genuinely love about the Hexbloods is that they are old characters that grow. So often there are these static or degrading elderly characters in so many forms of media, but in NADDPOD they made these beautiful friends who after a lifetime of violence learned to be more gentle (ish) and nurturing (of one plant). It's just a nice message, and nice to see stories like this one. I metaphorically closed-loop-hug this whole arc!!
