yo dudes dont mind me popping up again, if you havent yet realized i made a follow up to talk about most of the OST’s you *really* wanted me to talk about but i didnt cover them in this vid. you can go watch it now on me channel or thru this link ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-SM7Cpz3GDso.htmlsi=YeZ1AwjazgTgvoue thank you again for watching this vid bros 🙏
fun fact michael kovach isnt real he just appears in the recording booth when you start making an animated indie show (Edit: thx but jesus christ im not even that funny why did you guys like this 400 times? )
What's really cool is that episode 4 of Murder Drones does foreshadow episode 6 with the hole in the floor inside of the cabin Uzi explores inside of. While Uzi fixed up the bug, and it ran off, you can hear the theme of the sentinels which is usually used in episode 6 when the sentinels show up if you listen closely. :)
That theme has been in the series since the pilot , listen up again in the scene when Uzi is running for her life and then the camera zooms out to N , in that specific part it sounds , I like to call the "Danger" leitmotif.
@@tias512 yeah the MD theorizing community believe it is. it's referencing the sentinels claws. they look different tho... but most people assume that its because their model was still in development. Edit: lol didnt realize you were saying that it was referencing that SD-S was a sentinel... But yeah could be possible, tho i think the main point of adding in the song part was for hinting at the sentinels with the claw n stuff
SO TRUE Ep 4 isn't even my favorite (in fact it might be my least favorite episode) but solver uzi still manages to be my second favorite track in the whole series, only losing to eternal dream I remember nearly going crazy waiting for the ep4 soundtracks to be released
Solver Uzi, honestly, is mid imo Even little background tracks like "Murder Drones" from the exposition in the Pilot and "Get Prommed :3" are better All the power to you if you like it, but it's just... meh
@@Emzy013 solver Uzi isn’t that bad. While I would say it’s one of the harder tracks to listen to repeatedly, it’s not a bad track by any stretch of the imagination and is extremely catchy. “mid” really isn’t the description I’d use for that song. I’d say “Good but not perfect”
I love murder drones ost it's so nice, I wish Indie songs got more attention. Also the line "Can we see the moon again" In eternal dream is heartbreaking beacause they might not even be able to see the moon again.
@@Indignant_dAnndelion_Annie i think the games undertale, deltarune & ultrakill beat it out *as a whole* in my opinion, but the murder drones soundtrack is still pretty good.
MAD RESPECT FOR U MENTIONING MURDER DRONES! It is one of the best soundtracks I heard from any indie and seriously needs the praise it deserves. You got yourself a new sub! Hoping to see some murder drones content from you soon!
Bro this is the second time we meet in another comment😂 If you don't remember me, I commented about the song 'falling for you' on your season 1 finale video Looks like mutual intrests follow the same path lmao
In murder drones the song “Falling… For You??” Is shown multiple times through out the show when Uzi and N have an important moment together, we see in episode 4 when Uzi and N hug and talk in the sky, in episode 3 when M says “I could help, but you probably don’t want me to…” and Uzi asks for help (AKA a special moment) When Uzi hugs N in episode 6 and N squeezes her tighter, and in the trailer for episode 7&8 when Uzi squeezes N’s hand and breaks it. Just though to point that out AND ALSO SHOWS UZI X N IS THE BEST SHIP IN THE SHOW!!!!
Omg bro why did you go this video just to say “ N X UZI IS THE BEST SHIP” Like bro we get it its canon but like cmon, its just opinion based, there is no real best ship, and yes i know i sound like a nerd but still
For me, I feel like one of the great factors of soundtracks/OSTs (and just indie projects as a whole) is the fact that they're, well, indie. Due to the nature of indie projects (lack of funding from "big companies", being run by a single or group of "average joes", etc.), creativity and the act of experimentation is what really makes them shine. "Indies" have definitely proven their immense potential time and time again, and it's such a welcoming breath of fresh air". It really is an environment where creators are able to freely "express their magic" in their own way, as well as grow their own loyal communities around the internet. It's such a beautiful thing, and I'm so glad they're garnering more and more attention over time. Speaking of creators, you seem to have a lovely video here yourself! It's not "perfect", sure, but the potential is definitely there. I'm honestly glad RU-vid recommended me this video, and I hope it keeps on doing so to other people. Great video, would love to see your channel grow, cheers!
Huge shows and movies are always being ruined because of corporate influence, they get dragged out to make more money, potentially risky plot points are changed to be more generic, and in general creativity and originality are sacrificed for the sake of money. That's why small youtube projects are legitimately better than some multimillion-dollar shows.
@@torpid5092 Agreed. If I were to think of one scenario where indies score a win on the top of my head, a perfect example (in gaming) would be Lethal Company vs Call Of Duty.
Yknow the sad thing is that music in the communities sometimes barely get recognition because people just say oh hey its from the one meme and not actually from the original sound. Its kind of like we live we love we lie, it was only basically known because of a meme. Which is kind of like these indie animations, like one of the reasons people would actually know that the TADC ending theme is original is because it was a big success, and of course theyll know, Hey this is from Tadc! I should go check it out again! But some like murder drones music and Lackadaisy music used in other meme videos, since they arent as big as some other indie animations, the songs either get used and people think that it is theirs and not the original owners, or the music that people put effort into would not be heard. Which is sad because these soundtracks are all really good and have so much effort put into them, but a lot of people dont hear them.
Yesterday I literally watched murder drones episode 1-7 straight. I had seen it constantly on RU-vid being recommended to me, until I had been like “okay, fuck it, let’s watch it.” Best decision of my life, this show is actually so good
Finally, someone who actually talked about murder drones soundtrack. As a composer myself, i think that AJ really does what hes supposed to do. Unlike other soundtracks, there is actually some slight human defunctions on his songs, including the tempo change, which makes it give some more realistic atmosphere. Ive been trying to make a song like he does for months as well, but its really hard. I do agree when you say ep 6's soundtracks are entirely unique, My favorite song so far of writing this comment is from this episode. Specifically, the last song in episode 6. Even the song makes you realize that the stakes are high. The drums and synths are what makes almost the entire juice of the soundtrack, Including that oscillated synth, which is included in all soundtracks, but in this one it just makes it feel different, as well as the dramatic choirs that go within. One thing i also want to talk about are the slight synth and strings that make it feel more intense. AJ just made it go with 3 simple notes (correct me if im wrong): Starts with D, then after 2/2s goes up (D#) and goes back to D after 1/2s. Its very simple but creates a large difference in the intensiveness of the soundtrack.
My favourite soundtrack of the series is in the Ep 4, cabin fever personally has the best Atmosphere, chasing scene, and also the soundtrack its fit in so well. Might have to rewatch it again for the quadrallion time and also the other one while im waiting for the Ep 7 got Released! And last thing, the information you've given was imaculate.
May I also suggest the outstanding soundtracks of both the Hazbin Hotel Pilot and Terraria. Outside of the lyrical songs, Helluva Boss doesn’t really have a particularly catchy soundtrack, but Stolas Speaks is a goated instrumental piece.
I Love how well the Soundtracks have been made for all the Indie Pilots, Especially for Lackadaisy, Murder Drones, and Amazing Digital Circus. I need to look into what I can about Audio Technology and Soundtrack design for my own future projects. I’m hoping to create my own Webcomic myself, and hopefully an Animated Pilot eventually. I have alot of work ahead of me, but I’m determined to keep working hard! Thank you for this Wonderful video Syafieq, I hope you have a Fantastic New Year. And the same goes for everyone here! Stay Safe and be well Lovelies, see ya around! 💛😸😸😸💛
While I appreciate that you mentioned Lackadaisy, The amazing digital circus and Murder drones (still haven't watched any of them) I also want to mention that the Animator vs Animation V and Animator vs Animation VI osts are incredibly good.
Murder Drones is officially my absolute favorite show that I have ever watched. Anime doesn’t come close. Pixar doesn’t even come close to anime. I just love it. It’s so amazing, and the soundtrack is so good, almost ridiculously so.
I was wondering if you were going to talk about the Solver Uzi track. Personally my favourite track in the entirety of murder drones (second only to knife dance). The slow, ominous track building into an encore of terror and then finishing with the best rendition of the main theme from murder drones. It combines slow rhythms before moving to staccato, and then leitmotifs. So beautifully well done.
Indie creators be giving the most out-of-the-box names for their OSTs And they're all bangers I have a whole playlist dedicated to the good OSTs, especially Indie
I LOVE Aj’s work on the murder drones soundtrack, however, Alot of people haven’t heard his work on all of the meta runner soundtracks (the first Glitch show) I recommend checking out the meta runner soundtrack, it is super underrated
Camping Mp.3 in Ep4 of Murder Drones was also an excellent case of how manupilating the main theme can make it hold a different meaning. That piece was the main theme but played in a major key instead of the traditional minor key, which changes the tone of the entire motif.
So cool to see another person who puts murder drones and Michael as some of the best things that the indie genre has provided. Also wondering if you've ever seen Glitches other animations? (Meta runner [Another of my favs] and sunset paradise).
I think the only part of murder drones that he should have mentioned was the song "Solver uzi" in episode 4. That song is so fire. It shows the horror of being chased by killer uzi so well. In my Top 5 songs easily.
This is great! Another example of great soundtracks is rainworld. There's a leitmotif in a lot of the important soundtracks. Some examples are Sundown, Pictures of the Past, Moondown, and I think Random gods. (And the cycle if you count it, its pictures of the past reversed) The music is somewhere in between organic and electric, which fits the setting really well. And the threat music. Wow. It changes depending on how much danger you're in. Its dynamic to what you're doing.
I dont see enough people talking about the underverse ost! It is incredible how good NyxTheShield's soundtracks are! But it is understandable, it is needed a insane amount of knowledge about the undertale multiverse just to UNDERSTAND what is going on in the show.
Damn, how many of my favorite pieces of media can you put in one video? I'm glad other people are noticing Murder Drone's fight soundtracks because they go incredibly hard, I kind of avoided the show for a while because I thought it was overly edgy and was just hopping on the "youtube animation project" bandwagon that was kind of spawned by Hazbin Hotel. But not only is it completely distinct from those other projects, it's quite a lot better.
Thanks for putting all the music titles featured in this video lol. I’m a hardcore murder drones fans and the soundtracks are FIRE! AJ cooked with episode 3 and 7 🔥
Music is a common assessment in either the state of response to the show’s current purpose/plot or a mental constructive feature using aspects of the show that preforms and flows well in both theory and when naturally enjoying the particular show, as well as the spelling of the music with typicality a visual setting, allowing a mental and physical response to both the viewer and the show. these atmosphere transitions are normally presented as the hint to certain large portions of the dramatic induction in these shows, specifically the preference to action, when the theme suddenly or slowly shifts. Typically - this is one of the most common and agreeable responses of the show and the scene it presents either immediately or in a future perspective. I honestly think this video of yours is probably the best way to describe any one topic with enough of what we want and don’t want to hear. Let me explain - topics normally like this are extraordinary centered, with others; the common tool they use is the show, simple. But it’s how they treat their own perspective “how much complexity is too much complexity” the way that most fans preform these opinions is often in the illusion of a constant relationship with a particular point they are trying to sell, at presence with what’s right, you see they are the closest thing to being right in how they perceive the opinion obviously, however it’s commonly used as the clear example to describe how “if you don’t agree with me, I will fight you” setting from how they start off forming their own projections into the show’s reality. Now with you, you’re not like that and I thank you. You got yourself a new sub.
I absolutely agree with you. I listen almost exclusevly to game or show OSTs and a lot of nerdcore. You just can´t find that amount love an passion put in to making those OSTs anywhere else. And just giving you huge prps for this video. The quality was extremely good so keep up the good work.
Another indie game OST I adore is the OMORI OST. It has around 173 songs I believe and was composed by 3 different artists, Pedro Silva, Jamie Lyn and Bo En. Playing the game can make some of the songs sob your eyes out, and not playing the game might still make you sob your eyes out. Some of the songs can perfectly capture some emotions so I really recommend you check em out. Fear and stress: Acrophobia Pressure: Omori Angry sorrow: It Means Everything Nostalgia: See You Tomorrow, Crossroads Regret/Sadness: DUET Hopeful: Clean Slate Relief/joy: Good Morning Honorable mentions: Worlds End Valentine, Flouring With You, Bready Steady go I love all the songs in this OST and would recommend you check em out!😊
YES I was really hoping OMORI would be mentioned in this video because then I would have found 2 hyper fixations in one video (OMORI and Murder Drones)
The second I saw Murder Drones on the cover, I skipped all the way towards that part. I am like, SUPER SUPER DUPER INTO MURDER DRONES AHHHHHHHHHHH! :D THANK YOU FOR TALKING ABOUT THIS, I NEEDED MY FILL OF MURDER DRONES CONTENT! The second you said The Knife Dance, OHHHHH I WAS FREAKING OUT WAY TOO HARDD! Oh god, and Falling For You!!!! I LOVED THAT ONEEEEEEEE. THE HUMAN GALA YESSSSSS. Eternal Dream- That. MADE. ME. CRYYY BUT THANK YOU FOR MAKING THIS VIDEOOO TY TY TY TY
Celeste is a game that need a mention too. The ost are incredible. Andi get the hazbin/helluva boss slender but the music is just incredible, especially hazbin hotel songs.
Loving all of this! One other game I'd personally add to the indie game soundtrack list, though, is absolutely Celeste. The music is composed by Lena Raine, someone who later helped create some of the newer tracks for Minecraft, and it's nothing short of stunning. The way the story is told through Celeste's soundtrack is just... I don't even have words for how amazing it is.
Murder drones is the perfect example of what a edgy indie animation should be: 1. No excessive swearing. (preferably none.) 2. No sexual jokes. (Seriously why does everyone do this? It’s not funny it’s just immature, and overly edgy.) 3. Good storytelling. (For example Hazbin hotel which is an amazing show, but suffers from all of these criticisms with indie animation including bad storytelling. I love Hazbin hotel, but it’s just like they took two seasons of plot, and messily shoved them together into one.)
