It's genuinely nice to see someone actually appreciate the JJK characters and try to go a bit deeper about their stories and motives instead of taking everything at surface level which a lot of people do.... it's such a breath of fresh air in the JJK fandom with everything going on with it rn
@@UnifiedEntity Then you're either lucky or haven't seen much discussions about JJK, because fr there's a loooot of people that don't even try to see things beyond surface level before calling Gege a bad writer. It happens with Yuji, Yuki, Kashimo, Sukuna, Maki, Megumi, etc. Even with things very easy to understand.
I think the explanation in the manga is that Mechamaru tried to kill Mahito and Geto because Geto placed a barrier around the place preventing Mechamaru from escaping or calling Gojo but I don't remember exactly.
The reason for Mechamaru fightnin Mahito and Geto is because the veil made by Geto didn't let him escape. He could hide, but the barrier would prevent him from contacting anyone. He went for Mahito because of his simple domain and would go against Geto because he was the one mainting the veil. (Sorry for the bad english)
when you look in the context of the main theme of giving meaning to your life and your death, a lot of the characters become a lot more interesting, even without much character writing
the binding vows work that you sacrifice something for something else, nanami has less power during working hours and gets all the suppressed power in overtime, his actual technique is the 7/3 ratio, that's basically like a critical hit. characters don't get techniques with binding vows, they either have their own or inherit one from their family
@@KumoBear12 i think we can only speculate about that for now. the only other thing that we know about binding vows is that if you break them, something bad happens and that the consequences are far worse when u break a binding vow made with someone else rather than yourself. i have a feeling though that we will know more about how they are formed and see what actually happens if you break one real soon in the manga
Maybe I'm remembering this wrong but I think that Nanami's technique doesn't have a binding vow on it but rather he has a binding vow on himself generally increasing his cursed energy past 6 or whatever by limiting his cursed energy before that time. Also I don't think that Mechamaru really had that much a chance to escape because I doubt that Geto was gonna let him run away and he thinks as much with the Gojo being the win con train of thought and while Geto didn't intervene with the fight I think it was more to just enjoy the show because I highly doubt he would've just left him be if Mechamaru actually won. And after Mechamaru thought that he defeated Mahito he realized he still had quite a bit of cursed energy left and was definitely a bit cocky after his "victory" against Mahito and thought he could just take care of Geto right then and there which is why he didn't try to run there either.
@@KumoBear12 Yeah no Gege deffo leaves a lot to the readers interpretation, I just got too much time on my hands and JJK is one of my favorite series. Great video tho
@@KumoBear12 Its not about how good the analysis is, But its actually about the fact that someone actually finally acknowledged and decided to speak about nanami/mechamaru's respective characters, ppl really just say jjk dont have any depth to characters. You killed it man
Bro, I started LOVING Sukuna when I realized that this overpowered evil lord has powers that are based on cooking I find that concept way too interesting to dislike him
Amazing video. Holy shit thank you algorithm. I would appreciate if yiu made specific video about my goat, my insane schzoprenic beautiful man, Todo Aoi. The way you've described him is too real and yiu didn't even mention his schizophrenia field backstory with Yuji. Im subbing so I hope to see that vid
Thank you so much man! I probably won’t make a dedicated video about todo, as I don’t think I could say that much more about him that would be very valuable. This video is somewhat of a compilation video of three other videos I’ve done in the past, where one of them was a video dedicated to todo. I do talk about him in some other videos tho
Mechamaru knew that the deal was gonna go bad, he planned out an entire attack force, a giant mech underground that wasn’t sensed by Geto or Mahito, planned the simple domain shots. Planned the Mechamaru Bluetooth dones in Shibuya. But he didn’t plan on a way to contact anyone before a veil went up. Didn’t plan for a veil in the first place. Didnt use multiple years off rip. Didn’t double check if Mahito was gone. Didn’t try to stall for time.
It’s not, all characters with techniques are born with them, or they gain them from absorbing a cursed object. That’s probably just to make it different from nen though.
@@KumoBear12 Overtime is a binding vow, which is a trade between oneself to get something desirable. Nanami’s cursed technique is the critical hit thing that he has.
ummm....haha i love the enthusiasm but you are missing a ton of jjk facts to go along with the essay Nanami innate curse tech: It is is 3:7? is that right? I think its 3:7 whatever the numbers are to reach a critical hit on any opponent. If he hits them withthin that ratio he can do serious damage to anyone. Overtime: Overtime is a set of conditions that one places on ones self to achieve more power by giving up power during certain times. Its a Binding Vow. Anyone can make binding vows as they seem fit as far as we know . We are sure who or what oversees that the law of equalvent exchange is met. It might be ones own judgement or a higher being or a barrier made by tegen no clue. Anyone in JJK could use this if they wanted to . 3:7= innate (born with) CT. Over time = binding vow Mahito fight with robo traitor, the fight is a master piece cant lie. The problem with your break down is you missed the whole topic of binding vows here. Mahito wanted to kill robo bop then and there, but since he made a binding vow with him they could not harm one another till the condtions were met. So soon as he was healed then they could battle. Maru would have bounced the second he waws healed if he could. I dont quite see the part where he could run away. Mahito wanted to kill him during his binding vow. so if not for kenjaku mahito would most like already be dead or something far worse would have already happened to him before maru even got healed. but kenny didnt want that to happen cause then he could have absorbed him if mahito were to be dead pre shibuya. Good video, but i would watch key scenes over again since i am not a jjk anything but had all these answers off the top of my head.
I read your comment, but I don't really get what you think I didn't understand lol. Other than the fact that mechamaru couldn't leave due to the veil. That part makes sense in theory, but I believe they should have made it more clear
You say that the manga's message is to be a good person like Nanami but (Manga spoilers) nobody who is a good person survives, they only loose and suffer. The only people who survive and win are egoistic assholed like Sukuna, so the story really wants yuji to just die alredy, and it does not care about it's message.
Thanks for the upload. Having recently gotten into JJK, and doing some cosplays, I totally get why it is so popular. I'm even catching up on the manga, which I don't usually do. JJK content creators like yourself go a long way in helping me enjoy the series even more! Keep up the good work. Will you go to Heaven when you die? Here’s a quick test: Have you ever lied, stolen, or used God’s name in vain? Jesus said, whoever looks with lust has already committed adultery in their heart. If you have done these things, God sees you as a lying, thieving, blasphemous, adulterer at heart, and the Bible warns that one day God will punish you in a terrible place called Hell. But God is not willing that any should perish. Sinners broke God’s Law and Jesus paid their fine. This means that God can legally dismiss their case: “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” Then Jesus rose from the dead, defeating death. Today, repent and trust Jesus, and God will give you eternal life as a free gift. Then read the Bible daily and obey it. God will never fail you.
