I like anatomy so much, and I'm a health professional, and there is so much we don't know yet, it's crazy how complex we are, the metabolic system is insane complex.
Love this seeker human mini series. I end up learning a lot and it gives also gives me good videos to recommend to other. The host, Patrick, honestly does an amazing job
And when it goes wrong, it goes wrong in a catastrophic way. I have Ataxia that it literally destroying my cerebellum (the area of your brain responsible for balance, muscle control, parts of speech and ability to swallow among other things). I also have sensory and motor peripheral neuropathy. Ataxia can be its own genetic disorder with many different forms but for me all this ongoing damage is caused by a genetic metabolic disorder so also effects my digestive system. The most devastating is the neuropathic damage, I can no longer walk without a frame (or indoors using a stick and grabbing onto furniture, walls and grab rails that have needed to be installed) and for anything more than a very short distance I now need to use a wheelchair. My condition is what is called ‘life limiting’. The nervous system is so complex that there is still very little known about how it all works, when it goes wrong there is little to no treatment, you just have to learn to adjust and medicate for the hellish pain levels, muscle spasms and the like. Just in my lifetime of dealing with my rare and possibly even unique to me disorder knowledge has improved in leaps and bounds, hopefully one thing that can be gained by study of my disorder and others like me is knowledge to help those who come after me.
Thanks for sharing. Hopefully in the not so distant future there will be some tech that merges with the body to solve your problem. I know Elon Musk has a device being developed that is said to potentially help.
JenJen on wheels: As terrible as your disease is, I'm kinda glad for the learning opportunities it and other rare diseases provide. These opportunities allow us to push the boundaries of our understanding of biology, medicine, chemistry, and a whole host of other fields. I'm sorry you're suffering, and I thank you for advancing science in your own way.
@Kelly G You refuse lol. You shouldn't make decisions like that based on pride and ego. That said, I think staying at home right now is probably wise, no matter how foolish your reasons for doing so.
@@Hallowed_Ground why do you assume their reason is pride and ego? Is that your reason for recommending they stay home? Or are you doing that because there is a pandemic? Like their reason for saying they dont want to go to the hospital...
@@deamonomic I'm not actually sure why I said that to be honest. I think I might have misunderstood her comment or something. I thought she was saying she won't go because it's a pandemic and it's a principle that everyone should abide by, instead of choosing to not go because she was might get covid. I guess I interpreted it as "I need to go to the hospital, but I won't because *insert principle/political reason*" or something like that.
The reason being is simply because you were alerted and looked at that particular spot as you get subconsciously alerted so it's basically like a warning system that tells you you're gonna feel pain in that area. Also it also includes placebo effect but because it gives off negative results, it's called nacebo....
Also you might be confusing 'cutting yourself' to getting stabbed because getting stabbed by a knife is painless most of the time. Also you may be confusing it for getting shot by a gun which you would usually not feel until a few seconds which then feels blazing hot...
Whenever there is electrical system, there is magnetism (as physists say two aspects of the same thing) giving rise to electromagnetic forces. I hope one day we can fully understand the entire energy systems including how our holographic mental images, thoughts and the mind are made.
It is truly amazing how all these complex systems work in balance and symmetry... And it cannot be stressed enough, that for those who seek, what you put into the physical body is important to the various systems optimal functioning. Also, if the system contains intricate electrical components and we are to understand (to even a minute degree) how some of these systems work, there must be some sort of meditation, in order to have a calm enough mind to gain insight (Whether or not one could interact with these electrical systems - such as slowing heart rate - has actually proven to be possible with meditation).
@@alisultan4963 Like Photonic Pizza said: Schwann cells are cells. But I think you were talking about the myelin sheath created by Oligodendrocytes. They are still cells, but provide myelin to lots of neurons at the same time.
Nerves (and muscles and many other cells) are not just chemical, they are also electrical. Without this aspect of the cells, electrical devices such as pacemakers, defibrillators, EKGs, EEGs, and nerve stimulators would no work. It would be helpful if you also discussed the electrical aspect of the nervous and muscular system.
We ARE superhumans. We are so super that we are electrical energy fields because of the 7 billion billion billion atoms we all consist of which are electrical energy fields. In the book HANDS OF LIGHT you can see illustrations of what we all look like as eternal holograms and eternal electrical energy fields.
If this is a robotic system, we say wow its Tesla, Toshiba or other.design. But when it come to a very very very very very... complicated human being design, we say oh its just nature design it comes by chance. I think we are stupid.
If we could artificially increase the speed that these signals are sent do you think we would get smarter because we can think more in less time or would we just do everything we would normally do faster.
Hey, Seeker! Would you mind to make a video about how supplement food and drink "functionalized" in our body and how is the side effect of consuming them in our body too, espescially in long term use. Thank you !!! Much love from 🇲🇨
As an epilepsy patient with several grand mahl seizures (including one that resulted in SISF, seizure induced spinal fracture) behind me I found this vid, although simplistic by my education level, to be quite well done. I'm hoping the next vid will cover a bit of what happens when your nervous system needs a new voltage regulator. Thank for making me decide on tacos for dinner, and have fun.
INTO THE UNKNOWN no I agree. The chemicals that do reach their destination pass on their messages, but some don’t reach it. So it isn’t 100% efficient, like you said. Nothing is 100% efficient, I am pretty sure of that.
5:26 I disagree. I believe learning how energies are read by our bodies is their true language. I don't use any chemicals or knowledge of them to program my body or mind. I'll experiment with it but, the most I do with chemicals is reroute energy to chemicals like dopamine. So if instead of training my body overtime, I can just program it to believe the action is pleasurable. Or emulating effects of drugs like alcohol from obtained data and running the program to feel the effects without consumption.
question For example, signaling from the brain to let's say to the tip of my toe... is it just one single neuron cell with a very long axon... or a bunch of neuron cell that interconnect? Also Is the pathway from the brain to the tip of my toe, also used in other signaling area? Like, is one pathway used for multi purpose (Like in computer network, a single pathway can connect a bunch of computer and switching between them using switcher) or is it a one to one connection...?
Hello dear sir When I Shake hand with other person or other things, so I feel electrical short. Same time I feel high electrical short. same time I use Gloves: Can you tell me what happened with me. Please tel me about problem
How does the nervous system create consciousness? In every other example of emergence, whenever new properties emerge from some underlying system, the new properties are every bit as open to third person observation as the properties of its parts. But how do you get from the third person properties of neurons to the first person properties of subjective experience?
Can you please make a video on the possibility in the creation of a artificial rage virus shown in 28 days Later ???is it achievable through gene editting or genetic engineering processes???
Very interesting! The statues left by the pharaohs are holding what is known as the "cylinders of the pharaoh" made from copper and zinc cylinders filled with quartz when held produce up to 1.5 volts. Make them yourself or get them on amazon or etsy.
I believe down in the halls of Dendara is seen carvings of Egyptians holding a long lightbulb. There is no light down there so how did they carve those walls? Some people think that the way these people are holding that lightbulb is a clue that says their bodies are the electricity for that bulb, only that would be a bulb that they really made.
THE HIDDEN ELECTRIC WORLD IN OUR BODY We could detect objects by our eyes or with our fingers. This is because of our nerves. The speed of nurons is 120m/s and 260mph.The Brain and Spinal chord are CNS and other nerves are PNS. Dendrites collects chemical signals from cells which sends electrical impluse to axon terminals. The axon terminals releases some chemicals into synapse and each chemical is unique. We have variations within sense of touch and 🤒 temperature. Understanding this helps us to solve problems in Medical technology. Research is going on to keep touch receptors and temperature receptors in slick robots. In robotic hand the great loss is these receptors and sensory cues is successful but needs improvement in it and a technique called Morphological nural coputation can design hands and robotic fingertips
Hi I came here to ask a question. I don’t know if this is wierd but I can feel brain axel pulse sensations and it feels great sometimes it is the whole brain or justa section. Do you know why is this or how?
I live next to the beach it’s not dry. I have no carpet in my house at all and I can visibly see the static I create when I touch almost anything. Also, none of my roommates have that problem and it’s becoming a problem. Can anyone help on how to stop it?
5:00 So, the myelin sheath is like the insulating layers of a wire, right? I've always wondered why they weren't continuous. Why don't they cover the entire axonal surface? Are there any adverse effects of 100% coating? Would total envelopment help to stave off or even prevent neurodegenerative diseases? Do other axons connect at these gaps?
Na+ k+ and Cl- are present in unequal amounts between the cell membrane of the axon. This allows the axon be more negatively charged compared to the outside of its membrane( around -70 mv). When the beginning of the axon reaches a charge of -55 millivolts due to enough excitatory signals from neighboring neurons reaches it in the right amount of time, the axon allows ions on the outside of its membrane pass through it freely for a short enough period of time to creat an "electrical" signal propagate down to the other end (the axonal buds). This process happens much faster if you have myelin covering large spots along the way down the axon because ions dont have to go through as many ion channels (the proteins that let ions pass through the axon membrane). Instead, the ions jump from one small segment of channels to an other small segment of channels because the rest are covered by the myelin (looking up a diagram that mention "nodes of ranvier" might help). However, if myelin covered the entirety of the axon, the ion channels on the axon that let ions in to creat an electrical signal would all be covered by myelin. This means no electrical signaling would occur. TL;DR: no myelin means your neurons send signals slower. Having myelin means your neurons send signals faster. Having a big myelin sheet covering every part of the axon means no signaling can occur because ions cant pass into the neuron.
@Scumfuck McDoucheface Have been given this option; as well as VNS and a different, intracranial monitor test... the "g-spot" of my seizures hasn't been found, all we have confirmed is it's intractable, it's partial right epilepsy/partial-occipital, all 3 types of seizures. So far, just dealing with through 4 medications as soon as i get approval for more testing without the aid of a benzo derived medication until that becomes a last resort
"My fingers can also pickup COVID-19 easily!" He is handling things do sloppily in a program being played on 2nd April 2020, when hand washing & social distancing is so heavily publicised!
THIS WAS VERY INTERESTING TO ME. I HAVE HAD 4 BACK SURGERIES AND I HAVE MASSIVE SCAR TISSUE ON THE SCIATIC NERVE BETWEEN L5 AND S2. I WOULD BE VERY INTERESTED IN A VIDEO LIKE YOURS THAT EXPLAINS THINGS IN A NON DOCTOR SPEAK. I KEPT HAVING TO STOP MY DOCTOR WHEN HE WAS EXPLAINING IT ALL TO ME BECAUSE HE WOULD TALK TO ME LIKE HE WAS TALKING TO ANOTHER DOCTOR THAT COULD UNDERSTAND DOCTOR TALK.I AM NOW ALSO A DIABETIC AND HAVE NEUROPATHY IN BOTH LEGS FROM THE KNEES DOWN. I AM ALSO GETTING IT IN MY HANDS. ANYTHING ON THAT WOULD ALSO BE OF GREAT HELP. THANK YOU VERY MUCH.
I feel your pain! I've had 6 spinal surgeries myself. Just don't ever stop moving! The more you move the better your nerves will work and the less your scar tissue will affect the chronic pain. Walk everyday! Best wishes.
Get the book HANDS OF LIGHT written by the physicist Barbara Brennan. To see what you look like as normal is very helpful as far as imagining that you are back perfect again.
Every time I'm expose to cold places somehow my body generates a little electricity, and eveytime my friends get close yo me they felt a small electric shock 😂
If brain is working in well and good position then body will work perfectly but with lack of sleep and low energy brain can't process data like it can ...
I have known about this for a long time, you are not the first to show how the brain works. anyone can show something new. because it makes me nervous.
